Missing Eye Shade

Anyone know where I can get a replacement eye shade and connector thing to connect it to the system, or are those standard with them?

Eyeshades come off of the system and are replaceable, but should be included with the system.

What “connector thing” do you mean? The controller, perhaps? That should also come with it. The stand to hold up the unit should come with it as well.

However, many units on ebay do not have everything together, so you may have to piece them together.

I believe the “connector thing” he referes to is the black plastic plate with the eye holes that connects the foam to the VB.

Those plates are not included in the boxed replacement foam that was sold separately in japan.

Anyway, ebay is the safest bet to find spare parts for the VB.

Yes, that’s what I’m talking about. My VB is complete except for that and the only problem w/eBay is, is that I don’t see the shades anymore. 😕

You can try what I did.

I purchased a broken virtual boy for $25 just for the parts, it still came with the eyeshield, stand, controller, everything, even a game, each of which goes for about $20-40 alone on ebay.

Then I purchased a virtual boy system alone for $40 🙂

i was going to buy a new VB on ebay just to take the shade, since mine was ruined, but someone was selling a shade on its own. it was a little cheaper than an entire VB, but i also saved like $10 on the shipping, since the systems are so big.

so yeah, check ebay.
