Okay people, I have come to the conclusion that it’d be dumb if I further tried to stop the buggy version from spreading, it’d do anyway. So I at least want to make sure that those ROMs get labelled properly as being bad, so there won’t be so much confusion. So here’s both versions for download:
Download here.
– “[b1] [gccVB]” was built from edited source using gccVB. It’s complete but very buggy on hardware.
– “[b2] [VUCC]” was built with the official compiler and converted from ISX to ROM. Due to an unknown bug, it’s incomplete (broken Plasma stages and boss stages) but runs perfectly smooth on hardware.
– So use [b1] for playing on Reality Boy, and [b2] for playing on your FlashBoy.
Hopefully we can release a clean ROM soon.
Enjoy! π

Krisse thank you very much for uploading these roms I just downloaded them and I played a few levels and it was really fun π I did see some clitches but in all it was still pretty cool 8-). I look foward to a perfected rom but until then we can play this.
You’re welcome, VBrulez!
Everyone: You can now submit user ratings for Bound High through the Rate Games Form or on the Bound High info page in the Games section. Highscore tables are going to be added soon as well.
You know whats funny, I always thought from all the pictures that the eyeballs to the main character would be popping out instead of going in. Oh well, this game is still awesome!! π

You should probably thank akumie, as much as I hate to say it.
Awesome, Thanks Krisse. Can’t wait to try the Broken Plasma/Boss version. π
Thank you jojobean :), not to often people actually thank me π but it is really CrackShoot you should thank because he sent me the copy and told me I could send it to anyone and for some reason unlike crackshoot I uploaded the rom for people like me who got tired to wait for so many years
On the side note I think crackshoot never uploaded the rom or send it to many people here because he didnt want to start more drama but I on the other hand could care less, the vb scene is small as it is so release all u can
Once again thank you jojobean, nice to hear that its coming from ur mouth π (so to speak)

Bummer, huh. No more monies for jojobean.
The bosses are still there, they are just invisible… I managed to beat the second boss after a long time of randomly bouncing around π
The plasma stage (+ and – balls) is a little tricky though with invisible balls, you can always play the buggy version, get the password and continue on the stable version.
Perhaps the title in the footer should be edited from just BOUND HIGH and add [B1]GCCVB and [B2]VUCC.
Invisible bosses are not so funny but… who cares?!?!?
I’m finally playing Bound High!!!!!!
Thanks Krisse !! and thanks to Richard to design Flashboy too. Now I’m playing Bound High on my “only one display” Virtual Boy π . I’m so proud of all planetvb registered users !!
So, I am the only one who can resist the urge to download the ROM? I’m still waiting for the clean version. Then I’ll probably buy a FlashBoy to play it.
its not really a bummer. i’m cool with it. climbing the collector’s ladder isn’t free, my friend. eventually you’re going to have to leave your catty comments to yourself.

Sure, climbing the collector’s ladder isn’t free, but it doesn’t always depend exclusively on money either…

If you can’t play it it’s not much use downloading it. π

no, not always. but unfortunately it does most of the time. just be glad you are able to play the game. if it wasn’t for it leaking out one way or another the glitchy rom being in a few people’s private possession is all bound high would have ever amounted to. lets agree to disagree and stop hijacking the thread.
I’d like to recommend adding an explanatory txt file so that people who get the ROM without reading the thread know what the differences are between the versions.

I never said I wasn’t able to play the game before the ROMs were publicly available for download, I just meant that sometimes you get more by respecting other’s ideas than with money… but for this “all4respect” to work, you have to do it right from the beginning.
Of course, I’m glad that people can finally play BH even if it’s a buggy version, as I’m happy that they can play the 4 extremely rare games with flashboy too. But I can’t avoid thinking that with more respect regarding extremely rare ROMs, prototypes and such, it would have been better.
