It would be nice to add some bonus multiplier to the votes in the next coding competition.
I suggest adding a bonus if the game works on a real machine and if it has sound effects. It can lift the game a lot just adding simple effects.
Just went through the competing games in the 2010 competition and I’m very impressed with what people have done and a little disappointed when they’re not working right on the real thing. The lack of sound also made me wonder if my FlashBoy Plus was working OK but it seems it did… π
I just want to thank all programmers for making my sunday evening super-nice.
no offense akumie, but have you tried programming anything before?
I can’t/haven’t tried programming myself yet but it seems like something challenging to do (at least from my perspective) and especially for those who don’t have too much free time that are busy with other stuff… I’m not saying nobody ever should attempt to finish making their games though!
like e5frog said, if they show what they are working on to the other people on here to get some feedback, it could help them finish and/or improve their game
everyone is doing better at programming than I could π
