I just lost out on a really nice looking blockbuster set. My eBay timer glitched out and it went for 15 bucks less than my bid would have been. Just really depressed about it. I already have a couple VBs, but man this one was so nice. I hate losing auctions I’ve been watching for 6 days. It’s like a kick in the gut.

Well, I just bought a boxed Japanese VB in mint condition instead! Got it for only 118 bucks. Couldn’t be happier right now :). I’ll be sure to add the serial number to the list once I receive it. 🙂

Cool that you found another item you wanted, but in the future use http://www.gixen.com works wonders!

Happens to me all the time..i’m normally shouting ‘Mawa or Ben’. Reminds my wife of Star Trek the Wrath of Kahn.

if the timer ran out, then you were waiting until the last second to snipe the bid? that’s the game you play if you wait, you have to hope that the ISP is working, the pc doesn’t mess up, nothing is lagging, etc. -=P

i missed a few vb auctions and then ended up grabbing one that was easier to win. the one i finally got wasn’t very good, and i regret how much i paid for the item i received.

I wasn’t waiting to the last second or anything actually on that auction. My timer was showing 5 minutes left and was counting down. When I hit refresh, the auction was over. Still don’t know what that was about. I haven’t had timer issues before and since.

But yeah, I’m happy I got this Japanese console for such a great price. It was a buy it now auction.. i didn’t screw anyone by sniping lol. I prefer not doing auctions anyway as I hardly ever win. But yeah, like you I’m almost glad I missed out on the blockbuster VB. I think I’ll enjoy this import boxed VB a lot more. So.. it works out the way it should sometimes :).
