Hello guys,

Here is my problem, few weeks ago one of my virtual boy screen shutdown (left eye) after playing only 20mins. Today I just try to play again with my VB and now it’s working (i can’t understand why, i didn’t do nothing…). I played during more than hour without any glitch…Any idea? I just remember the day when I got the screen problem the temperature of the rom was quite hot ~23° or more. Today it’s more like 18°…

I’m afraid that problem will come again..

Any ideas about this problem?

I already repaired my VB one year ago.

It’s almost certainly the typical display cable problem. When you say you repaired it… did you solder it, or do the oven trick, or…?

thanks for your fast reply, the company who did the repair use a rework station.
Normaly this is the best solution and don’t move in the time…
I don’t know if the fixed the 2 screens or not (they also can’t remember).
They are ok to fix again the problem (for free), but now it’s working for me…

Maybe the best is to open the VB and watch if they repair 1 year ago the 2 screens or not, dont you think? I can also put the pictures on the forum.

Since the repair one year ago I played almost 15 or 20 hours, also the company is really well know here in France (Otaku Store) http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k62tsIviOLiAZZ369bd#.UbObwfkqzG9

Here is 2 pictures (left & right display cable).

I think why I got a problem with one of the screen few weeks ago.
They put some hot melt adhesive over the two display cables. That day I touch the IPD adjustment & the focus adjustment. Maybe do to that it’s pull cables to much don’t you think?

As I said they used first a rework station like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9PgwMzrk2g and also put hot melt adhesive over the cables (for better strength).

I will try to play more hours this week with my VB to see if it’s happens again or not…Time will tell
