Since I’m sure not too many people will be interested in the box only I am no longer offering it and will be offering a Box + Manual. It will cost $20 + shipping if we get 20 people or close to it. If you add your name to the list you are 100% committed to ordering. No orders will be shipped out until everyone has paid. I have attached the artwork that will be used. Please do not reply to the old thread to avoid any confusion. If you had your name on the list before you will have to add it again. Please copy the list and add your name if you are interested.

I would say so. you would put us to 30 orders and as L_E_T said it should get this order out the door.

if it is still possible to have one….
Hope you have room for another box order!?
Many thanks in advance!!!
Best regards,

KR155E can take care of this project….
As no news from Srimok i guess we can ask him.
Also he got the experience of making boxes with Flash Boy Boxes.
Terribly sorry for the delay. I have contacted the person who originally stated they would be able to make the boxes many times and they no longer answer my emails. I have tried dealing with one other person who was a total waste of time even though having an excellent reputation. I shipped him a box and manual at his request and the final product was some strange 80% size box made of thin glossy paper that had graphics overlapping everywhere. Cost me $30 for something I could have made myself in under 20 minutes. I am still contacting other repro makers but I am getting kinda fed up of things falling through. If anyone knows anyone reputable who can make these let me know. I realize how long this has gone on for now and I apologize. I will do everything in my power to see this through.
Hi Srimok good to see you again 🙂
I feel sorry hearing your misadventure. God, quality worker are harder and harder to find now. Even with a good payment…
Well maybe you can have a talk with KR155E who may be able to make the boxes using is experience of making the Flash Boy Card. The company told him it could be done.
Nobody want to replace you or take your idea, i mean i ll feel sorry that you take it bad so please don’t. Just have a talk with KR155E and check out how you can combine ideas to fulfill this great idea of making BH boxes 🙂
Have a nice week end Srimok.
Just about any commercial print shop (like Pip Printing, or Sir Speedy) can do this… You don’t have to get someone who specializes in making repro boxes. All you need is a printer with a die cutter. It should cost you somewhere around $150 for the die, and probably about 2-3 bucks per box.
Ask for 110lb white cover stock, which they will have (don’t go with 80lb, it is too thin) I’d have done it all myself for you guys, but I sold all my die cutting equipment last year. 🙁
If you are handy with an Xacto knife and don’t need to die cut it, just go to Kinkos or Staples, or even OfficeMax and ask them to print it out for you on the right paper. That’s the critical part – the heavyweight 110lb cover stock. It will look good, trust me, and you don’t have to mess with a commercial printer.
Hello all!
Is there any chance that I can get a manual only?
Thanks,
Grant

bad times.. i went and got mine done at staples for £4. jobs a good ‘un. box is a little bit thinner than official, but if im really bothered all i have to do is get the thing printed as a transfer and stick it to some nice thick card. either way is good enough for purposes and doable by oneself.

will you be making the manual design available to those who want to get it done themselves? that would be a win for community spirit, and the VB legacy, no?
it’s cool to charge for a service for those who dont have the means or desire to make them up, but also good to offer the designs as open source i think.

hold on, i think i misunderstood.. is this just for the manual cover, not a complete manual design? if so, ignore my above comment cos it already is available as open source lol

It was mentioned earlier that there was an entire instruction booklet for Bound High available on this site somewhere, so not just the cover. However, if that was ever true, I cannot locate any link to such a file. Does somebody have the file that can be made available to all? If I had to make a guess as to who might have the file, I would guess that User: virtualboyfreak has one. I may try to message him personally about this if he doesn’t respond to this thread.
If I could have a file for an entire instruction booklet, I would definitely make the effort to go to Staples or somewhere and get it printed along with the box, in which case I would then be taking my name off of this list. It does seem that this project is no longer in effect, unfortunately.
I posted in a new post about ‘Game Case World’. They make case..and the good news is they make some cases for the Vboy. The bad news is..it looks like they are DS/Advance cases. The game goes on the left hand side under the tap that would normally hold the manual. If we could get the game to fit on the right hand side of the case..this might be a good alternative.
If it does work out..this might be the answer to bound high, space pinball and all the other homebrew games. I’ve looked at the web-site..they seem to do very well with graphic arts.

ps. always forget the links 😛
Is this picture on the front of this the highest resolution one we have ?

pss. where’s the link to the manual..anyone remember ?
