Since Protoman85’s review, I’ve had a few folk asking me to make them Bound High carts.
I will do it, but I won’t take money.
I’ll accept 2 donor carts. One, I will use to make your BH cart, and the other is payment (which I’ll use to make FlashBoy’s).
Does that sound OK ?
Richard,
What was the final count, how many of these were actually made up to this point?
=======
I also just received mine and it’s a treat to own a standalone cart. The sticker isn’t as nice as the FB+ sticker (seems a higher DPI could have been used?), but for the rock bottom price of 2 donor carts I find it very hard to complain!

34
The sticker isn’t as nice
The BH label file wasn’t very high res.
Since I received this game, I’ve not been able to put it down. I love it! Plus I think the sticker is fine. Thanks again to Richard for his technical genius!
Unfortunately, everyone knows what could happen in the future, as a result of there being only 34 Bound High carts in existence. I just hope that all lucky persons who got a copy won’t succumb to that temptation.

I think people on here are pretty decent.
BTW I’d love to make some Dragon Hopper carts too 😉
MineStorm, If you ever get a chance to make the Dragon Hopper cart, name your price. I would buy one in a heartbeat! Would you ever decide to make repro carts for other games? Like Space Invaders or Virtual Lab? I don’t know if it would be less or more work than making Flash Boys, but you could charge whatever you wanted and I would buy.

DH, man that would send everyone into a twitching frenzy just waiting for it to pop through the letterbox, let alone when the title screen graces our eyes, needless to say I’d have one.
I would still like a BH cart but can’t get sorted to get a couple of donors, so have to keep flashing the FB, I’ll keep a look out for donors in the mean time so if ever another batch is decided upon I’ll be ready, or for DH.
Yeah folks here seem pretty decent & honest, a question though, did you put anything inside the BH carts, maybe just a mark on the pcb with ‘repro’ or something just so if one does appear on ebay its easy enough to have checked?

I don’t have a tool to open it, but I’m pretty sure the PCB’s are red. He posted pics of them a few pages back.
I’m with John E Bravo. I would buy the Dragon Hopper cart and any reproduction carts of Virtual Lab, SD Gundam Dimension War, and Virtual Bowling. Plus, I missed out on the Bound High carts because I didn’t even notice the offer until it was already too late! I’d love to have a chance to get one. Price isn’t too much of an issue, either. I think the $100 price tag for a FlashBoy+ is very reasonable and could very well apply as a price for any reproduction cart, and by reproduction cart, I just mean a plain cart with the game on it. I can apply my own sticker and make my own box and manual later. 🙂

No, but like adler says, the PCB is bright red and looks nothing like the VB boards.
If the BH proto ever did turn up, I would imagine it would be on of those long EPROM carts.
I stil haven’t gotten my cart yet. 🙁 I hate international shiping. 🙁
My cart just came in yesterday (Saturday), and it is amazing! Thanks again for the awesome work, MineStorm; I shall cherish it!
Now to look into making a box and manual…
^_^

BH was shown at spaceworld, correct. So it does exist in physical cartridge form unless the data was running off of a Model One prototype console like KR155E’s.
I misread your post and thought you said DH.
Maybe one of these other 2 is DH. I don’t have the time for this internet drama. 😛 😉
None of this is news.

Well, this picture is no news either, but now you have more to talk about than an hour ago 😛 It’s just two versions of the same thing, made by two artists of the Virtual Boy 😉
