Wow, Nick got like nearly everything wrong. Makes you wonder how much of their other “news” is legit.

When AVGN is one of their shows, you can’t really take them seriously.

Well, they got all kinds of different shows and I like most of them. But I would assume that if you try to inform other people about certain projects and call it Hardnews you at least take the time to get the basics right. Just reading the news on the planetvb startpage would have been enough as all necessary information is there. Reading it takes like a minute or so.
I guess they just try to be funny instead of being a serious news show.
Well I finally watched that quick video.
Oh god, it was only 10 seconds, and yet that guy got so many facts wrong.
Mr. G sold the cart, he didn’t buy it.
Eric is not a sucker, he is a hero.
“It’s more like a WINDOWS 97 SCREENSAVER!! HAHA, I MADE A FUNNY!”
Getting a copy of a rare prototype for $100 with box and manual is a bargain.
I’m so sick of disrespect for the Virtual Boy…

I would say your right, thats how it mostly goes for anything VB related. Shame really.
Well, at least all of the media attention should allow enough people who actually appreciate the Virtual Boy to help Eric out with his fundraiser/cart release plan. Everyone else can just have their opinions.
Here are all of the English gaming sites that I’ve been able to find, which are helping to get the word out about the Faceball release:

This is very true, it all gets the word out. You can see that by some of the new members joining up here.
Nice finds by the way Ben.
To be fair, it’s the Virtual Boy, a console that to most gamers, is a pile of crap. Plus Faceball doesn’t look like a must have game looking at gameplay, especially for $100 when I can get the SNES and Game Boy versions for much less.

The Faceball card release wasn’t about selling a high quality game at a reasonable price. It was about helping Bigmak to get back a small part of the money he spent on the prototype. You would know that if you read the news on the start-page.
Screw-Attack didn’t bother to do their research either. They basically said that Bigmak (well, they said Mr.G) wants to make money by selling the game over price. This left people with a wrong impression and eventually led to the card release being canceled.
Maybe it is just me but I think if you publish something as ‘News’ you have the responsibility to get your facts right.

Ahhh… so now I know why they call themselves “Screw-Attack,” because they desire to attack a person until that person is screwed.
