you can only have 1 game at a time on it. The + lets you save games (that have that feature)

Is the donor cart situation healthy at this time? Also Bound High is like a HUGE thing for me and one of the reasons I have gotten my VB in the first place.

When I finally get my VB shall I just send an email as per the address on the first page of the thread?

Obviously looking to get the FB+ please.

I can answer your questions for you:

As for the donor cart situation, assuming you want a Bound High reproduction cart to be made as well as a FlashBoy+, send an e-mail directly to Richard at the e-mail address noted on the first page and ask him how many donor carts he wants for a Bound High reproduction cart to be made. You can then also ask for a FlashBoy+ in the same e-mail and check with him to make sure the price hasn’t changed. If you’re only looking to get a FlashBoy+ and not also a reproduction cart, you may not have to send him a donor cart at all, but check with him to be sure. His situation changes all the time, so it’s always best to ask him directly through e-mail, since he checks his e-mail more often than he checks these threads.

I’m pretty sure he only makes FlashBoy+s nowadays, so you should get what you’re looking for. 🙂

Personally I’d go for the Flashboy+ first, but if Richard doesn’t need donors for a copy of Bound High go for that too as you will eventually want a dedicated copy of BH, top game we are all very lucky to be playing.
Being in the UK too I know how hard it is to find spare carts without incurring daft shipping costs etc.
Hope the VB unit arrives unscathed so you can get the red LED’s spraying joy into your brain.
Don’t forget IPD and focus setup is crucial to allow long session playing.

I am so excited that these exist, I really want to own one because the homebrew scene makes me want new games directly on my VB.

Sounds like you got it sorted, Richard has helped me out before and is totally trustworthy and all that.
A Flashboy is a must, unless you have large amount of funds, but for the rest of us who just wanna play, Flashboy answers that hankering.
VB games will only ever give a true VB experience when played on hardware no amount of emulation, even 3D emulation comes close (well that fella with the 3D TV sitting on a box over his face is not far off, pic posted in another thread here in PVB) so yes you DO need a FB.
Richard is in UK too, so in theory this is the one time when being in the UK and owning a VB is better than being in US or JPN, Flashboys are UK made. Totally makes up for not having the VB released here in 1995……..well maybe not…..:)

I have the Flashboy original is there a diffrence between this and the FlashBoy+
