Figured it would be nice to see everyone’s systems and game/accessory collections. I’m quite curious to see how many of the VBs on these forums are in good condition, and how many Blockbuster, retail display, japanese, etc kits there are among us.
Regrettably I sold the VB in my avatar many years ago after I first joined. I think I sold it to then fund the purchase of a new phat DS. Bad move.
I’ve just gotten back into the VB scene after missing it so much. I just purchased a Japanese console in mint condition, boxed. Can’t wait to share with everyone. I also bought a secondary head unit only because I thought I was going to be buying a VB set that had a defective head unit (I got out of that deal). I think I’ll be taking the spare apart and using it as parts for my Japanese model. Maybe have the ribbon cables soldered for when the Japanese model’s go bad.
So I’ll be posting my pictures soon. I have quite a few games already, which I’ll show when I get the console pics up.
But everyone else can start ahead of me. Let’s see those VBs!
Heh… they even made Virtual Boy Pogs…

Nice quality, high resolution scans. They really show the nice condition of your items.
On a side note…what I would give for a set of those POGs… I must have looked at a over a million POGs in bulk auctions, used game stores, GOODWILL, gutters, ditches, drains, even the couch cushions, but no luck yet. Maybe one day a set will fall into my lap. Until then, I will just admire yours.
You got some great stuff there Ben, I bet you treasure this like nothing else. I would love a collection like this but if tried i think i might end up wifeless.
Yeah… I definitely treasure my Virtual Boy collection, and I’ve gotten to the point where I love collecting anything and everything Virtual Boy. The Virtual Boy is definitely my favorite hobby, and it’s about the only thing I spend money on other than the necessities. If I ever run into a financial crisis, I would probably sell absolutely everything else that I own first, before having to resort to selling off my Virtual Boy collection, but if I did start selling off Virtual Boy items, I’d probably try to recollect them some time later on down the road. Perhaps my Virtual Boy collecting could rightly be labeled as an unhealthy obsession, but oh well… 🙂
I tried to make some nice scans and collages of the Virtual Boy Brochure.

I’ll try to post a picture of my full collection tonight, but I just picked this guy up at the post office this morning. It’s the last game in my cartridge-complete US collection! *dances*
I have about half the boxes for other games including the Blockbuster Mario Tennis box, Waterworld and a few others. I don’t know if I’ll go box-complete after this just because’s pretty wallet-consuming, but I’m tempted.
That said, there are a bunch of Japanese games that I’m most interested in, so maybe I’ll start looking there next…

Mawa — there are three loose carts on the shelf together in your first picture. One of them looks like just a cartridge PCB. What are they? I can’t quite read the labels…
Man, there are some great collections here! I love seeing many copies of the “Extra Rare” games in peoples collections. Gives me hope for my own collection someday. 🙂

Very nice. That box looks like it is in very good condition, a very tough find indeed.

Given how nice the box was, I paid up quite a bit in the auction. I haven’t seen a box as nice as this on eBay in the last few months, so I said to myself: “With just a few clicks, I can complete my collection… Okay.” I can’t wait to get home and play it tonight! 😀
The manual has a Blockbuster sticker on it, and the cartridge’s label is slightly torn, but both of these things can be replaced in time, given money. :p

Haaaa!!! It’s also the one i’m looking for!
My last U.S VB Game…^^
The game itself is out there if you’re willing to pay for it!

Na never, it maybe unhealthy on the bank balance though.:-)
At jrronimo:
Great looking box. Nice find!
Agreed, that’s about as nice a box as I’ve seen.
I was just happy to finally cobble together a box, manual, and cart, although I did it over a handful of auctions… and even so, the box I have isn’t exactly in the best of shape, considering what I paid for it.
Congrats!
Here we go, that’s my display about Nintendo’s History.
Not only VB but it’s how i wanted it 🙂

Oh wow! I also love the 25th Mario Collection — all of the red units on the same shelf is very neat looking.
I also love the Triforce GBASP. I have one of those, too — They came out alongside Minnish Cap while I lived in Sydney and were very common, so I bought one. Now it’s one of the prizes in my collection, although I use it somewhat regularly, so it’s not in mint condition. The box was also a little beat up when I got it, but it’s better than not having one!
I took a picture of my VB shelf this morning with my new addition. 😀 I need to take a picture with everything arranged better, but that’s for another time. My basement’s quite chaotic at the moment, but the VB is safe on its shelf.
Looking at the Jack Bros. box again, in daylight and after a good night’s sleep, I agree: it’s the nicest box I’ve ever seen for auction. Makes me feel a lot better about the purchase, haha.
A few of the game boxes have games in them, and some of the games are out — for instance, that Waterworld goes along with the Waterworld box. The only working VB in that pile is in the store box.
Some day I hope to display it all as nice as you guys do! But until then it gets the shelf, heh.
