Original Post

Im offering a permanent solution to the faulty virtual boy LED glue failure issue. im using high grade solder equipment and leaded solder
(hakko fm-203 with a micro soldering iron and electronic microscope) and have been soldering for over 10 years.

So for 41.46 USD if paying by paypal service option not including shipping cost will cover one virtual boy console or both screens. Or 39.99 if using family option. if you have 2 consoles its 82.61 or 79.99 family option

I’ll also buff your red lenses (if needed) with special paste and clean your console as a bonus.

Please only send your base console! no extra are needed! I can get the repair done with in 2 to 3 days of receiving your VB console. Please insure your item when shipping. i will not be held liable for possible damages caused by shipping.
One console bubble wrapped fits safely in a priority mail medium flat rate box and 2 consoles in a large one. If you have more than 2 that need fixing pm me.

If you are wanting to save on shipping by disassembling your console and just sending the screens and red lenses you can but its a risk since these screens are very fragile due to age. Just be very careful when reassembling. i have an extra console for testing.

PM me if you are interested in getting your vb console repaired and I’ll send you my paypal address and shipping address to send your console to.

Once repairs are complete your item will be shipped back to you with 100 dollars insurance. (180 with 2 consoles) If you wish to provide me with your own return shipping label your welcome to it.

Having this repair done will greatly increase the lifespan and value of your console since all non fixed VB console will inevitably fail.

and i know im new here but ive been fixing game consoles for years. you can check out my ebay account feedback if you want.

Just got my system back from NES Freak, everything is now working like it should. This has been a very positive experience, thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! enjoy your fixed VB!

and bump

Bump!

Ok no offense intended here, you’re probably not used to the more quaint nature of this forum. This isn’t really the type of place that warrants a service thread bumped on a weekly basis. In the Main Virtual Boy forum, literally the third stickied topic down is a repair thread with your name in it. If you find this thread actually gets buried past page 1 by all means bump, but judging by the other threads in the marketplace it takes around 2 months :p

Well there arnt any rule stating otherwise. i just bump when my tread dissapears off the front page for the most recent post.

I come from nintendoage so a thread there can dissapear with in a few hours off the first page lol.

I’ll slow it down on the bumping though.

I also go to other forums with more traffic in the marketplace and I know where you’re coming from. Like I said, I’m not trying to be a dick or anything, stuff just doesn’t get buried here quite like busier forums.

Thanks for telling me.

OP,

I just won a new (still defective) ribbon on ebay. I’d like to fix the new (still defective) ribbon and the one good (still functioning) ribbon I already have installed. I’ll PM you.

Thanks,

Dan

taken care of Dan

Just wanted to update. i don’t like having confusing prices so

its 41.99 for one console from now on with 16.99 usps shipping with 100 insurance. or for 2 consoles its 82.99 with 21.99 shipping and 200 dollars insurance.

if you are shipping just the screens shipping cost will be cheaper but will vary on cost depending on how you want to ship your screens.

i really wish i could edit my original post on this site…

Also im on discord too on the virtual boy planet server my name is different. its ultimateARhacker #3841

It’s been a little while, but I just wanted to say that I had a unit repaired by you about two months ago and it works flawlessly now! I’m very happy and the repair process only took one day. Literally the fastest fix in the west! Thank you so much man!

thank you! 😛

Heres a picture of my latest work. its a lot cleaner than before. might make a fresh topic since i cant edit my original post.

I’d like to hope that’s my Virtual Boy in the photo but either way, I just wanted to join the team of happy folks with repaired VBs. My system arrived this afternoon and it’s both looking and playing like new. Thanks, Nes Freak!

That’s a high quality repair. I am glad mine have had the repair but your work is absolutely quality.

its another customers but yours looks just as good. the reason it looks way better than the original image on this topic is cause i figured out a new faster more efficient method on fixing the displays.

Thank you for using my services!
