PSP2 or PS Vita is launching with the same price as 3DS, 50 dollars more for the 3G version. Which such a competetive price, most anti-Nintendo people think 3DS is doomed, since PSVita is more powerful for the same price. Thoughts?

Neither are screwed, or gonna lose out badly to the other, IMO, they both play games but thats kinda where the similarity ends.

Both always gonna have die hard fans, maybe in these times enough fans to keep them viable for longer if only the fans ever bought them.

But at the end of the day if the accountants don’t like the figures then yes we are screwed, and i really don’t like accountants (no personal offense meant to any accountant gamer VB fans, one day you will see the light (a red one) and stop worrying about money & costs, its all made up figures anyway), erm, rant over 😀

who says the 3DS will still be the the same price by the time the PSP2/Vita is released?

also, the 3DS might have games more favorable to a wider audience by the time the PSP2/Vita is released, so the 3DS isn’t failing yet!

Anybody here with a 3DS download all the game trailers? The Line-up looks promising, so as long as Nintendo can get *most* those titles out by Holiday 2011 I think the 3DS will stay afloat. Whilst Vita may be graphically impressive with an awesome OLED screen, the vast majority of gamers purchased the 3DS for Stereoscopic gaming.

PS Vita, large touch screen, 2 anologue pads, oh who’s copying who with them new U controllers, they just need rear touch pads and they would be rather similar. Don’t the HD pics of a Nintendo game look just awesome?

I have not downloaded all trailers, maybe the UK not getting same stuff as US, i noticed you had a 3D vid of animal crossing, did N send that to you in the update, or did you download from somewhere cos i can only see Zelda OOT as a 3D trailer in the eShop.
I saw someone post on another site that they were viewing MGS snake eater trailer in 3D, could be BS but if not i want to see these too.

The 3DS looks like a child’s toy compared to the PSVita. The 3DS is to the original GameBoy what the PSVita is to the 3DS. That being said, I think it is definitely possible for the two consoles to co-exist and I don’t think the PSVita is going to destroy the 3DS or anything like that. Nintendo will still have their first-party franchises (Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Smash Brothers, etc. etc.) and the games will still be good.

Also, we can’t forget that the original PSP was supposed to destroy the original DS, but ultimately Sony made some bad decisions with the PSP and the introductino of the DSLite basically destroyed the PSP. I would like to think Sony will not make the same mistakes they did with the PSP but who knows…

All that said, for my $250 I would be much more interested in a PSVita than a 3DS. I haven’t bought a 3DS because the launch lineup was terrible and I wanted to see what Sony had to offer. I’m extremely excited for a portable Uncharted and Little Big Planet (among others) and the PSVita hardware looks second to none.

I have trailers of Zelda OOT, Super Mario, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario Kart, MGS Snake Eater 3D, Resident Evil Revelations, Star Fox 64 3D, Paper Mario & Animal Crossing. I downloaded them all from the eShop on June 7th. *If* US exclusive, It’s probably because everything is using American ESRB ratings?

Must be something like that cos i can only see Zelda OOT, I will check again later. Could also be to do with languages, if released for UK then gonna have to do languages for the EU countries too.

I want to see all those trailers in glorious 3D, hopefully we’ll start seeing them trickle through.
