Hello all, I have a little video for you today. MK has allowed me to make a video of his work in progress demo. Unfortunately since this is incomplete I have been requested not to share the file. Please enjoy this video of it though. I can re-record it however, I just wanted to show it running on a real system.
To skip past the music portion, skip to about 12:50.
I’m glad you enjoyed 🙂
I was equally blown away. The quality of the music (my favorite being ‘Asterix’), and the quality of video is awesome. The video is crisp, looks like native resolution to the VB, and looks to be 30FPS. It sounds like PCM audio which reminds me of Snatcher by Thunderstruck, cool to hear how it handles voice 🙂
With all the stuff going on around here, It’s a great time to own a Virtual Boy!

Oh my gosh – this is cool! And is Bad Apple in 3D?
Nope, just 2D.
Awesome stuff. Sounds incredible and the video looks so crisp, can’t wait to see it in the flesh.
I wonder if he will try to make it 3D in a future revision? Most of it wouldn’t necessarily lend itself to being 3D but some parts would I suppose.

So many cool showpieces for the Virtual Boy coming out. First the flipbook animation and now this. Plus we still got the mysterious patch coming out as well. This is great haha.

Not too sure, although I’d be happy with a completed 2D version too 🙂
Just a few questions Speedyink. I was wondering does M.K.’s MusicMatic allow you to do stereo and sound effects?

It’s just prebuilt in music, I can’t load anything into it. It looks like it supports stereo with the two two sets of level bars, but I didn’t notice a stereo effect with the included music so far.
I’m wondering what he might have in mind for SNES mouse support. Maybe some kind of point and click adventure game? I already have a passive adapter that I built for Hyper Fighting. What an interesting idea to try the SNES mouse.
this is cool. all the love this little red forgotten console gets really brings a smile to my face.

Video is really cool, but the mouse adapter catched my interest !
I’m very curious too, there’s something up his sleeve I’m sure!
