Original Post

A few weeks ago I was talking to some friends about old video game systems and we started discussing the Virtual Boy. After a bit of nostalgia, I decided to get mine out and play a few games. Unfortunately, I turned it on and one of my eye sites were no longer displaying video. Luckily, I have a spare VB, so stuck the game in and turned on my spare. This one was now displaying very blurred video. So after a bit of online research on how to fix these issues, I came across RunnerPack, Amos, who solders the little circuit boards that display the images for the VB. While looking into this, I also came across the FlashBoy+ which Richard is currently distributing.

Anyways, I shot an Email to both Amos and Richard who replied very fast. After a bit of correspondence, I sent my boards out to Amos and purchased a FlashBoy+.

So, I recently got the boards back from Amos and they have revived both of my VB’s and Richard’s FlashBoy+ and the homebrew games from the community have brought new life to my Virtual Boy. All last night I was playing my games from the past while also enjoying some of the unique homebrew games that have been developed.

Thanks again to everyone!

Good to hear you busted out your systems again. There’s lots of awesome stuff that’s happened over the years, and lots more to come.

Thanks, I’ve been reading over posts in the forum and definitely see I’ve missed out on a lot over the years. Always enjoyed this system early on so looking forward to spending some time on it again.
