Yeah! The case is nice, isn’t it? I got one off eBay back around 2003 for a song.
I have 11 games, and I can comfortably fit them in there (just cartridges & instructions – of course) without a problem. I usually have them nestled in amongst the stand near the piece with the medallion on it.
The sticker on my case is just a tiny bit mucked up, but it’s still great. I’m still kicking myself for ditching my system box and game boxes back in ’95 before I was really a collector.
Enjoy it, but don’t let it convince you to keep your VB hidden away in a box! I keep mine on top of my wet bar 🙂
No fear of that, the VB has been a pretty permanent fixture on my desk since I got it a couple years back. That won’t be changing anytime soon, especially not with new things to try out on it coming down the pipe!
It came at a pretty opportune time, though, as I’m in the process of moving my stuff into my fiancee’s apartment. 🙂 Hooray for transport!
Yeah… it’s too bad that there isn’t a proper place to store video game cartridges in the case, but it makes sense that there wouldn’t be, since these were only intended to hold rental units that had to be returned to the store and weren’t intended to be sold.
I would store the games in one or both of the two red-circled areas in the attached pic.
