Long story short, I’ve been working tirelessly to track down every episode of the iretrogamer Youtube series “My Retro Life” through whatever means possible, since the creator didn’t keep any backups when he nuked his channel about a month ago. I’ve exhausted my options for web searches and have begun posting on various forms hoping to find fans who saved episodes offline before they were wiped from the web. In this fashion, I’ve recovered 21+ episodes of the show, and only need to find eight more.
That’s where you come in, PlanetVB friends! One of the episodes that remains MIA is called “My Life with Game Boy and Virtual Boy.” Here’s a shell page at Retroware TV that linked to the episode when it was on YouTube:

It’s a great little video wherein Tyler’s dad surprises him with a Virtual Boy and a bunch of games that he got for like $60 because it was on clearance everywhere within a year of release.
Is this familiar to anyone? It’s such a great series that mixes home video footage shot in the ’80s and ’90s with narration from the now grown-up version of the kid that is featured in every episode, talking about his relationship with his dad, and the games they enjoyed collecting and playing together.
I know I’m not the only person on the net who downloads backups of my favorite web series, so I’m really hoping someone here can step in and help fill in what’s missing! I’m not currently posting these videos anywhere for public consumption, but I have a direct line to Tyler and have been sending him the episodes as I find them, so that if and when he chooses, he can get them back out there for everyone to enjoy again. They’re a great way to celebrate gaming and family, and I really hope someone here can come through on this. I am happy to share the episodes I have with anyone who has what I’m looking for.
The other missing episodes, by the way, are the Saturn, Mario 3, and Disney Afternoon episodes, as well as the first episode (Master System Birthday 1994), The Genesis Power Team Vol 2, Christmas 1991 with Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo, and one called Collecting Atari Games in 1994 with Dad.
