They make custom cases for the VB. Before you go crazy, the cases are actually DS cases with VB inserts. BUT, this might solve our Bound High and Space Pinball problem….

its fun to repurpose something for your own needs. a way to better organize your personal collection. wehile ds cases could serve to solve a problem they will always be ds cases. something about sliding a vb game under the manual clip seems cheap and uneventful to me. i would much rather see classic 1-off carts distributed with a box from their era, regardless of the difficulty involved with doing so.

Yeah, I don’t really like that. I dunno whether Game Gear game rental cases were ever made, but something like that would probably fit the VB games much better.

Someone with a vacuum former could probably make VB game inserts for CD cases or something, but you’d still need to do something about manuals and stuff.

I think that the outside of the case looks really great. If the “Nintendo DS” logo and DS game holder on the inner right side could somehow be removed or covered over nicely, I think that the inside would look nice as well.

I also think that this style of game holder is far more practical than an original game box. Every time one desires to open a game box, one has to be careful not to ruin the edges of the box if one likes keeping all of his boxes really nice-looking. This problem doesn’t arise with the snap opening and shutting mechanism of the DS-style box, which is also much quicker to accomplish than opening and re-shutting an original game box.

Seeing stuff like this makes me feel a bit sick:

I think best bet would be a homemade cardboard box in another box for protection if you need it. Heck, you could even make a smaller size box if you really wanted?
