So, we recently got this digital sign installed at my job, guess who’s in charge of programming it. 🙂

This would look great over a Virtual Boy collection (or any collection), have it display “VIRTUAL BOY” along with all the names of the games ever released for it.

It does some neat animations as well.

Cool!)

If it’s connected to a computer, you could have it scrape the PVB news, forums, and even the high-score lists.

That would be so cool!

That would be really cool actually!

Too bad I dont own this thing, or I would try that.

It’s not hooked up to a computer or anything, it’s simply plugged into a outlet just behind one of the ceiling tiles, then gets programmed using this huge remote, from there, you’re able to choose font, color, animations and such. It’s quite simple to use.

Is it a Betabrite? I have one of those. Used it as a ‘case mod’ during a LAN party where I got carried away. There’s another manufacturer but I dunno how they differ, if at all.

You can connect it to a PC but someone would need to write new software to scrape anything from the internet. It connects through a serial port. The software is just a quicker way to program than using the remote. I mean the manual says it was written in 1999, so it’s been a while.

If you like pixel-style signs you should check this one. Made my own using the Guts kit. There’s a lot of interesting stuff for retro gamers out there.

SUPER PIXEL
