Hi new member, long time lurker

I make chip music with my 3ds using the DSN12

Im very interested in Virtual Boy Music, So I made a sonic mania cover:

Im emulating 6 channels and keeping the limitations the best way I can.

Next track ill use 4 channels instead

P.S. (I had like 4 paragraph typed here but lost it all by clicking on an attach image)

Sounds pretty cool.

It sounds great! Can that actually play on a VB, or were you trying to get as close as possible? The amount of talent in the community is really amazing. A lot of game communities don’t have chip tune composers.

No its running on my 3ds using DSN12 korg synthesizer trying to get as close as possible, But if I had to do it on a virtual boy, yes its possible i’m only using 6 channels and I would only have to switch between bass and lead at one point for that easy hardware sweep

I do want to make a virtual boy style game for pc and phones though!

I do hope someday someone takes advantage of Pulse drums and snares on the VB like on pc engine. They sound great.

I am interested in 5 channel music where one channel is use for sound effects and the noise channel is used for hit hats that get interrupted by soundeffects. I think that the best balanced for games to have full sound that doesn’t get in the way of the music.
