When I’m not playing with headphones I usually play with my VB plugged into this Sony SRS-X2.
It really sounds top notch and gives the VB playing experience an arcade feel.

Just thought I’d share.

i tried a few amplified speakers and even a stereo. i found that the most fun for me was using headphones. i get lost in the sound when its right in my ears. especially with the vb.

Honestly, I have never used the audio jack on my VBs. I find the built in speakers positioned the way they are make for a pretty awesome experience. I like the generous amplification too, nothing like the skimpy Gameboy speakers. I can see how earphones would be ideal, though. I’ll have to give it a try.

That Sony speaker does look great for something like my laptop though…

Certainly earbuds or headphones are the way to go. I just like the color scheme of that Bluetooth speaker quite honestly. Plus it really delivers. Ah well

It is a cool color. Have you used the speaker for other purposes? Would you recommend it for music/video use? I’ve had good luck with Sony speakers in the past, so this one’s intriguing.

I’ve used it for listening to music and for the virtual boy. It packs a punch for sure and gets very loud. I’d say some where around an 11. All jokes aside its a good Bluetooth speaker. My wife and I use it a lot while we’re outside working in the yard or relaxing. It syncs up very easily with Bluetooth and has the auxiliary input for other uses. I don’t know what else to say really. 11

Haha, well put. It does look nice next to the Virtual Boy. I’ve been looking for a good portable stereo speaker, I’ll definitely consider this one.
