Chris is tied up with exams for the next 3 months. So, I will be both making and distributing them now.
If you want one, you need to send me a donor cart. This will guarantee you get a cart (a sort of pre-order).
I will be making these on a one-by-one basis, so be prepared to wait at least 2 weeks from the donor cart getting to me and your FlashBoy+ being dispatched.
The package will consist of the cart and USB cable (no box) the new price of $100 (+shipping) reflects this.
Anyway, if you are interested, please Email me at –

Thankyou
Just got my second one today. Only got one VB at the moment, but luckily I’ve found an old colleague from around here that also has a Virtual Boy. So not only do I have everything I need now, I have someone to actually play with too =D The real kicker is he happens to live within walking distance to me now. Convenient multiplayer VB situation for the win
that is cool! i had to drive a few hours to a museum to get my 1st 2-player experience. someone in walking distance would be ideal!
I bet going to the museum was a fun experience though!
This is definitely not a situation I ever would have guessed would ever happen, especially living in a place most of my friends call the middle of nowhere. It’s a funny world sometimes.
Obligatory “got mine” post. It works great and saves great!
Thanks a ton!
Dang, I would love some multiplayer action! Especially for Hyper Fighting. Unfortunately, I am the only person I know who owns a Virtual Boy.
Also, just paid for a nice shiny FlashBoy+ and am extremely excited for it!!
I got my FlashBoy+ in the mail today. It’s working flawlessly! Total compatibility, saves, great design & high quality assembly. Simply perfect! Awesome! I’m very happy with it. 🙂
@MineStorm
Thank you very much for creating such an impressive device and bringing us the possibility to enjoy it!
I should be receiving mine in the mail this week. very excited!
One question: I downloaded the software and I understand how the flashing works. However, can it work in reverse? For instance, if I flash Wario Land and play the game for a few hours and get a good save file, could I transfer that back to the computer, flash a new game, then sometime in the future flash back Wario Land with my save file?

That is a good question. I wondered the same. Would it erase the prior save file if you flashed a new game then went back to Warioland?
BTW I’m still waiting to hear if I will be able to get one!
UHATEIT, after experimenting with the software, I cannot find a way to transfer save data from the Flashboy. The software only seems to be able to flash to the unit. It auto erases anything already on the unit.
Also, send Richard an email asking for one if you haven’t already. You can find it towards the beginning pages of this long thread.
As far as I have experimented, the FlashBoy+ maintains save files from whichever games you have previously saved, whenever those offer this possibility. These saves are not lost at all no matter which new games you will flash to the device in the future. It stores them in a reserved memory compartment, so that you can have save files for every VB game on your FlashBoy+.
Currently, it seems not possible to transfer these save files from the FashBoy+ to any other media, but an application to do so or just to manage save files would be welcomed.
Wait a sec. I knew that if you flashed a game that supported saves, then you flashed a game that didn’t, then flashed the original game that the save would still be there, but you are saying it holds a save for multiple games concurrently? How did I not notice this? I thought it only held one save at a time and would overwrite the save memory when a different game supporting saves was flashed and played. So is the multiple saves thing true of a versions of the Flashboy+?

Ups! To tell the truth, maybe I went way too far with my assumption, since I haven’t tested having more than one save file from different games at the same time… Sorries! 😛
It makes more sense only one save file maintained until a new one is generated from a different game.
Have to test it, for example with Wario Land + Teleroboxer.
Got a flashboy in the mail last night and I’m super happy. The quality of the work on the cart is amazing and the 3d-printed shell looks great.
And it works like a charm! 🙂
I would like to buy a flashboy+, I’ve got 22 games for a few years now, but I would like one to try out those extremely expensive games, who should I contact?

The OP, MineStorm aka Richard.
Also, interested in one. I’ve got the original version without save. If I could either upgrade, or get a new + version that would be great. Thanks
