I recently located my long lost VB and I need help finding replacement parts. I am in need of a new visor and the connector piece for the legs. The leg connector seems pretty well broken.

Is there a good site to locate spare parts other than ebay? I don’t have a large pool of funds to buy parts for as expensive as I have seen them on there. Is there perhaps a group out there that makes reproductions of the visor? It seems like the hardest part to find.

I just discovered this site and could really use a hand in restoring my system to it’s former glory.

No idea where to find a new visor. I was looking for one for some time without any luck.

It wouldn’t be too hard to make your own replacement visor from some kind of soft foam. The page about it has images of the box you can get a pattern from.

Do you have the plastic attachment plate? If not, that will be a bit tougher to replicate, but still possible. I’ve posted a drawing with physical dimensions, and Hedgetrimmer has posted a 3D model you may be able to have 3D-printed. Otherwise, you could get some stiff plastic sheet, print out a pattern, and cut one out by hand. It won’t look good, but it should get the job done 😉

Once you’ve got that, you can make the shade from foam (or even stiff cardboard) to attach to it.
