Lately I simply haven’t had much time to sit down and sink hours into the Virtual Boy. As of right now I’m setting it up for a quick hour before bed. It got me thinking, surely most people here end up with the same time limitation. What is the longest anyone here has played the Virtual Boy non-stop for? Anyone wanna debunk those awful rumors about the VB hurting your eyes?

I’ve put 2 – 3 hours at the most into the VB in one sitting. No ill effects whatsoever.

The very first time I played SD Gundam Dimension War (JP) it took me a solid three hours our more…mostly because I had no idea what I was doing. The eyes needed a while to cool off after that because everything looked sepia tone. No headaches, nausea, brain tumors (that I know of) our anything else that most rumors claim. Can’t say I’ve played it any longer than that in one sitting.

It’s strange, I’ve never had that issue with not being able to see red after playing Virtual Boy. I play my VB for an hour, I peek back out to post on PVB and all the reds look fine to me.

2-3 hours. i’ve never had any issues.

The longest time I played in one sitting was around 6 hours… playing straight through SD Gundam.

I also did around that playing Bound High, and did several hours in a row most nights for a couple weeks, playing Virtual Lab (getting to level 100). Playing straight through Wario Land took a few hours as well.

But yeah, I had no ill effects from it, other than my eyes being a little bit dry from staring so long (probably not blinking as much as I should have).

Really, SD Gundam? I couldn’t play that for 30 minutes even.

Anyway, my record would go to Wario Land, when I beat it the first time, I probably played for 3-4 hours or so, at least 1 of which being on the final boss.

I’d say about 4 hours..with a break and another 2-3 hours after that.

About 1 hour i’d say, had to beat “Red Alarm”.

A little over 1 hour to beat the previous owner’s time record on VB Wario Land.

Around 3 hours, playing the game “Panic Bomber.” I like that game more then any other on Virtual Boy!

I’ve played for about 4 hours straight trying to beat Bound High, and about the same on a legendary run in Galactic Pinball.

I fell asleep testing a Nester’s Funky Bowling I found on eBay after work last week…I remember waking up periodically and trying to bowl but it was all gutter. That was about 8 hours I guess.

rond 4 hous playing various games.. most of the time juist anything between 1-2 hours. I also own a lot of other consoles i like to play in one session.. 😀

In 1995 I played all day, over 12 plus hours but I was 36 yrs old, can’t do that now.

My hands did get stiff, no bleeding. lol

It took me about 16 hours of gameplay time to get the high score on the Alien table in Galactic Pinball, which I posted on this site. Of course, that was over the course of 3 days, so I had to leave the Virtual Boy on for 3 days, and I played about 5 to 5.5 hours each sitting on each day.

The longest single-sitting gameplay time was for Virtual Lab. I am pretty sure that it took me a little over 7 hours in one night to get the high score which I posted on this site.
