Hello! I’ve come here in search of a replacement part for my Virtual Boy stand. I found the post of someone else who has (had?) that same problem, so I’ll just borrow his picture:

I’m looking for the very same part that is broken in that picture. I read the thread that pic came from, but I don’t know anyone who could fabricate such a part, so I can only try to find one for cheap online…

If anyone here has the part I’m looking for, please let me know by posting a reply. Thank you!

Psh, 3D printing is so passé 🙂

I kid. I really wish I was patient enough to do that. I opted for the epoxy/vaseline method, and – boy is it sturdy now!

It feels solid as hell. The medallion feels like the weak point now, but for now it’s holding its own.

Ignore the sticky white looking stuff, that’s er, eh… it’s just sticky stuff from when I was using duct tape. Jeesh I don’t like my VB that much!

Get some “Goo Gone”. It really works. I also use isopropanol to clean off the greasy feeling left by the Goo Gone.

BTW, pretty good job with the epoxy. Too bad it didn’t come in black 😉

Good call! I’ll goo gone it a and sharpie it black. Oughta look pretty good when I’m done.
