Looking for info on Jack Bros. retail life & production numbers

I’ve seen every US Virtual Boy at least once when looking in retro ads, but never Jack Bros. which is what made curious about this to begin with.

I’ve also seen many people comment that when they were buying Virtual Boy products in 95/96/97 they could never find Jack Bros anywhere.

I know Atlus is notorious for having low print runs, but do we have an idea of possibly how many were shipped/produced?

Also could anyone shed light on what store(s) carried Jack Bros or if they appeared in one store more than another? If you can only comment on the one place you ever saw it, that would be helpful as well.
