Original Post

So I got my VB fixed by RunnerPack back in September, and I had fun doing a fake ad! I had to set it to self timer and look as “EXTREME” as possible. I sourced some of the text from existing Virtual Boy ad too.

Anyway, intended to buy a Flashboy Plus but ran out of fun money due to some bills coming up. But for now I’m having fun playing Mario Tennis!

That actually looks pretty good, good job!

The only thing that takes away from it is that the VB is sitting on a stack of books. I don’t think that would be allowed in an official ad =P

That’s not even mentioning the anachronistic books included. But hey, thanks! 🙂

Very well done, great overall layout and coloring! You also perfectly mimicked the overacting dude in typical 90’s video game ads. 😀

P.S. You might want to attach images to your posts instead of just hotlinking to make sure there won’t be a chance of them to be deleted in the future.

Your ad is very well done…I want a poster…Kudos

I love the ad! Like someone mentioned before, you captured the stereotypical 90s ad guy perfectly lol. This would make a great poster for a game room.

The flashboy plus is definitely worth adding to your VB collection. I got mine recently and I love being able to experience all the games without having to search and shell out a fortune for some of them. One game I recommend buying is Virtual Boy Wario Land. The flashboy doesn’t have a save feature so progress in that game won’t be saved which is why a real cart is better for it. The game will keep you busy and entertained for a long while.

The flashboy doesn’t have a save feature

It does

It retains the save even after you flash a new game into it ?

It retains the save even after you flash a new game into it ?

Yes, as long as that game doesn’t over write the save space.

Good to know!

I love it!!

Haha thanks guys! As far as the potential for posters, it could happen! I’d have to redo parts because I saved over the original like an idiot when I sized it down for online upload. Before it was a full 12 megapixels resolution. So some time when I have a moment, I might do that.

Very excellent ad.

His over-the-top excitement is hilarious and perfect!

I don’t think Half-Life was around in 1995, but good job anyway. I wish I had the skills to make something similar. By the way, I saw a dictionary in the NP Online ad in the back of a Nintendo Power issue.
