There’s the TV-out unit thing made by Intelligent Systems, there’s the solder and modify-way that someone did here if I remember correctly, and there’s me pointing the camera to the VB then channeling the video to my DVD and TV. I’ll finally be able to do a Wario Land let’s play with this setup.

That’s pretty cool! Good for people that don’t have the know-how to do a solder-related video output (that is over my head at the moment heh…).

What will the controller situation be? Since the cord is so short and unforgiving :). I think I saw somewhere that one person (DogP?) modded an SNES controller to work on VB, and they worked a jack for the AC adapter into the plug that connects to the console. If you did that, you could plug the power directly into the console through that modded jack, but also use an SNES/NES cord or just more wires to make a controller extension.

I keep meaning to get the VB emulator up and running on Wii but haven’t gotten round to it. The VB is such a 2D powerhouse spec-wise, I don’t think I’d mind playing it in 2D so long as the games are playable.

Protoman is the master of making vb vids. He sets his framerate up in such a way so there is no flicker. If anyone can make a vid to tv real time work..it’s him.

I subscribe to his channel, he cool for sure.

I’d like to know how he does that actually. It’s a feat for sure!

I can make a quick video about how actually, although I’d have to take pictures/video with my phone instead because the camera is stuck where it is.

I have a little Virtual Boy video renessaince(?) planned, starting with Faceball, let’s play of Wario Land, then a second homebrew showcase video (because the competition has brought a lot new stuff!)

If you have the component cable (or other high-quality output solution) you should try Green/Magenta anaglyph. The glasses are cheap (paper ones can be had for the price of postage, and even the fancy plastic ones are only $5-$10 depending on quality) and the quality is much better than the old red/blue kind.

That is awesome. You don’t mind if I try doing that, do you? I want to do a Playthrough of Mario Clash.

Hey that’s perfect, all I needed to know.

Well actually, that video brought up one more question. Where do you get your Panic Bomber music from? I traditionally record all my audio from the VB 3.5mm to my computer and record off the system. The problem with Panic Bomber is there’s no sound check or similar option available, so the two tracks I really wanted would have sound effects from the gameplay. Is there a hidden sound check in that game you use, or something else entirely?

Thanks again!
