Hi All,

I just got my VB two days ago and are already thrilled with it, so I don’t even have the games yet I really intend to play on it!

I basically just bought the system to have it and look seperately for the games, so I didn’t cared too much on which games were coming with it, but I ended up with “Nester’s Funky Bowling”, “Mario’s Tennis” and “Bound High” – and this is where my first question already starts! 😉

As I found out on PlanetVB this game was never officially released, but the community here got it to work. So I suppose it is one of the cardriges originating from this “release”? The module sticker is a bit more grainy and has no glossy finish like the others, but looks very professional with all logos and such…

Anyway, hope to have a lot of fun with my VB and quickly gather the games I’m interested more in (in the moment especially Wario Land and Red Alarm), though especially Bound High is really fun!

Where did you buy “Bound High”? eBay?
I hope not the one from eBay because that guy intentionally tried to scam someone, and we have yet to find out who he scammed.

To answer your question: yes, you received a cartridge that originated from this community’s release. These cartridges used to be made on a per order basis, and the one that you got would have come from that time period. Just recently, a team was created to make new cartridges, boxes, and instruction booklets for this game, and the current stickers for the cartridges look very much like the typical ones on the commercial games.

I don’t think that I was scammed. I bought the complete package of VB + the three games together in one auction for 200€, which seemed pretty decent to me. As said, I was not even actually looking for the games that were included, so it was quite a nice “extra”…

The sticker is ok for me, actually I found the exact same cartridge on the third image of Benjamin Stevens’ collection (it’s the cartridge on the lower left)! I guess this is then one of the first versions of the community release?
