This is a new hat find for PVB. This was sold in a Japanese auction (not to me) in 2022. The VPB logo is the same as the Japanese baseball pin. Odd that this hat was given away in the US (according to the below) as that baseball game isn’t abbreviated as VPB. Anyway, the below was in the auction description.
◉ I think this is a promotional cap (free size) for the Virtual Boy software “Virtual Pro Baseball ’95”.
◉ I came across this cap by chance in America about 25 years ago and immediately purchased it.
◉ According to the explanation at the time, “Virtual Pro Baseball ’95” is a baseball game for the Virtual Boy released by a Japanese game company in August 1995. It was the first baseball game for the Virtual Boy, and it was also released in North America in the same year under the title “Virtual League Baseball”.
◉ I was told that this is a [cap] made to promote the game software. Judging from the (VPB) on the front, it seems to have been made in Japan.
