That’s really cool! If only everyone was excited about it as this guy. Then it may have lasted and gotten a ton of games.

Wow, a video posted by MasterOfPuppets has a shameless Metallica ripoff song about 10:20 in :p. Or so I think.

Anyway, I’ve never seen this before! Really good video, yet I can’t help but notice the lack of actual gameplay footage Nintendo added. There was an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto on Nintendo’s site (I think…) where he made a comment that marketing VB more as a novelty/toy than a next-gen 32 bit gaming powerhouse would have been much better. Watching this video in early ’95 or whatever would probably have given many people inflated expectations for the system.

On a positive note, how great to see the prototype model with multicolored buttons in action!

I laughed at one of the kids there yelling out “It’s all in red!” positively…

And they flat out lied when they said it “envelops your field of vision”. I wish it did.

Still, that light table introduction was friggin epic!

Oh and the office guy looked like Bob Zemeckis.

I love these old commercials/promo videos. There just funny as hell to watch.

Anybody “freeze-frame” the video, and look at the “red Virtual Boy images”? I can’t figure out where they’re from; suspect they’re just bogus artwork…

This is my favorite. I’m also sure he’s playing teleroboxer.

I remember this guy from the Donkey Kong Country Video. Equally as fun. I think they were really going for what it could be like not what it was like. I would of been more impressed w/ real game footage.

Dahhh!!! I was going to post this but anyways this is STILL awesome! I used to stare at these ads at toysrus and other stores for hours while my mom or dad would shop.

according to the person who uploaded that video, he said that some idiot is selling this laserdisc on ebay for $1,000 bucks! hahahahahaha
