Weird, he mentions that a racing game on the VB would cause headaches. Funny how VB racing and *gasp* Mario kart virtual cup don’t seem to be a problem. Imagine battle mode on the VB..watching a shell coming flying toward you, hitting you, and a bunch of coins flying in every direction, including towards the player.

My impression as well. Actually I suspect pretty much everyone who casually brushes aside the Virtual Boy with the same unoriginal critiques about it’s color palette or it causing head-aches, hasn’t actually spent any time with it and is just going with the hater flow.
That aside, a Mario Kart on the Virtual Boy would’ve been amazing. Sounds like Nintendo probably didn’t get very far with it though since there’s hardly any information on it.. shame..
same here, I can attest to playing a real, fully working VB is a lot different than just looking at screenshots. The VB is actually one of my favorite Nintendo consoles. It was both a gamers console and extremely innovative, rather than the Wii where it was geared more towards what would become the smartphone crowd.
