This is the official announcement for the release of Bound High complete with box and manual like it always should have been.

Together with Mindstorm and Bigmak we have been able to assemble an all star team to get this together.

Couple of notes.

There will be an original 50.
The plan is to make 100 of these total. If there’s enough demand we will continue to make them. But once 100 sell we’ll need a bunch more to do another batch!

If you have already paid and/or agreed to pay for the box and manual, you can still receive the box and manual. Or you can use the money you paid to put towards a Complete in box version.

What you get.
Box, manual, cartridge with label, inlay, and i believe inserts (bigmak?)

These will ship out in roughly 2-3 weeks

The price of the game, shipping included will be

US price $71 USD
International price $75 USD

We’ll be staring on our second release, Space Pinball. We look forward to doing lots of these. And other releases. So, get your butts in gear game designers!

The first 20-30 carts will be in my hand soon. So, the first 20-30 people to pay will get there’s in the order received.

@thunderstruck – James Rolfe (AVGN) hates the Virtual Boy, he truly does. Why would you send him a game for a console that he hates? He didn’t even want that copy of Jack Bros. that he was sent for free.

What happened here anyway? I haven’t been on in a few weeks and this shows up out of nowhere. I though no more bound high carts were being made because of someone selling one on ebay?

I don’t know if he truly hates the Virtual Boy as I have never met him in person. All of his AVGN videos are over the top rants and don’t necessarily represent his opinion. If I ever meet him I will ask.

Even though his AVGN review is over the top, he has some fair points. It is nearly impossible to sit comfortable in front of it, the game-library is rather small and most of the games are mediocre. Finally, most of the games are not Virtual Reality.

I think most of his work is truly funny and inspiring. I wouldn’t be developing VB games today if he hadn’t made his VB AVGN video.

That said, I was sarcastic when I said that Tusker should donate the game to him.

Wouldn’t have mattered either way, as its now part of my collection. 🙂

So… how near is the first batch to actually being shipped?

The first batch should be shipping, the latest, monday. I haven’t gotten the carts yet, but they are en route. so, Not much longer. I’m very excited. Once all the pieces are assembled together I’ll take a picture to show it off!

Yeah, I didn’t wanna canabilize a CIB of Baseball. So when I saw the auction for the insert, precautions book, setup manual and dust cap; I snagged it. I am so excited for a complete copy of Bound High!

Heh… it’s funny that you mention that, because in order for the seller to be able to offer that, he does, in fact, cannibalize a CIB of Virtual League Baseball, and he sells the cart separately.
