This is the official announcement for the release of Bound High complete with box and manual like it always should have been.
Together with Mindstorm and Bigmak we have been able to assemble an all star team to get this together.
Couple of notes.
There will be an original 50.
The plan is to make 100 of these total. If there’s enough demand we will continue to make them. But once 100 sell we’ll need a bunch more to do another batch!
If you have already paid and/or agreed to pay for the box and manual, you can still receive the box and manual. Or you can use the money you paid to put towards a Complete in box version.
What you get.
Box, manual, cartridge with label, inlay, and i believe inserts (bigmak?)
These will ship out in roughly 2-3 weeks
The price of the game, shipping included will be
US price $71 USD
International price $75 USD
We’ll be staring on our second release, Space Pinball. We look forward to doing lots of these. And other releases. So, get your butts in gear game designers!
The first 20-30 carts will be in my hand soon. So, the first 20-30 people to pay will get there’s in the order received.

Since I cannot update this original thread I’ll be keeping track on my own and on Nintendo age at this thread. This is the official release thread! If you’re on this list and have paid and I have forgotten, please let me know.
http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=6&threadid=86917
If you’ve paid 25 or 30, just subtract that from the price and that’s what you owe.
Please contact me via PM or post in this thread to be added to the list. The sooner you pay the sooner your game will go out and the higher on the list you will be!
Thanks a bunch. Attached is the box image. The rest will look just as amazing!

He also has a good reputation at Nintendo Age. From what I understood the first cards ship some when this week.
Good enough for me – will be ordering the manual/box/sticker set. I think I will keep Richard’s original sticker on my cart though, and consider it a rare, oop varient, lol!
Someone also brought up the Ebay issue, but now that this is a commercial public venture ( and not Richard doing it as a favor for members of this site), i don’t know why anyone would care ( if they do).
After all, Uncle Tusk is obviously making money on this too. Just my opinion…

This is not a profitable venture by any means. Just giving these games a life that they deserved. That’s all. Plenty of money is lost in doing this as well as made across several projects.
That being said. All of these are shipping out tomorrow!
Here’s a sexy picture for all to enjoy.

This is very much appreciated. I know that is not always easy doing projects like this without asking for a reward.
The first 25 have officially gone out! So has any order for a box / manual / label!
Get excited!
I have a confession to make:
I have had the ability to play Bound High on my Virtual Boy since I received my FlashBoy Plus from Richard in June of 2011, so for almost a year and a half now, and I still have not played the game at all…
There are two games for the Virtual Boy that I just have not been able to get myself to play at all: Virtual Fishing and Bound High. With Virtual Fishing, I can’t get myself to play it because it’s a fishing game, and I’ve never had an interest in fishing games. To be honest, I own it because it’s a Virtual Boy game, and I just gotta have them all. However, I still hope to create a translation for it someday, as I did for all the other Japan-only games, so hopefully I’ll be able to force myself to play it someday.
But with Bound High, I’m well aware that it is regarded as an awesome game by many, but the sad thing is, once I play it, I will have received the “full Virtual Boy experience,” at least as far as commercial games go. Thus, there will be no more commercial games to look forward to (other than Virtual Fishing, which doesn’t excite me too much), so I’ve been keeping it on the side and not playing it, so that I always have something to look forward to in commercial game regard.
But with this special edition release of Bound High, I am now going to HAVE to play this game. The great thing is that it will be a completely new game to me when it arrives in the mail! Other than a few videos that I’ve watched online, I have no idea what to expect other than what I’ve gathered from the online reviews that I’ve read about it.
Thus, this is truly going to be a “new commercial release” to me, and I guess it’s good that it worked out this way, because it makes it all the more exciting to me.
I guess the only “new commercial release” that will be left for me after this is Virtual Fishing…
It’s respectable that you’ve been preserving your VB exposure to maintain the allure of an incomplete VB experience. I know I don’t have the willpower to do that.
However, if there was one game I would keep on the shelf to keep from fulfilling a complete VB experience VFishing wouldn’t be my top pick, but it’s pretty close. It can be a challenge to hook the fish and work them out of the red water, but it’s not something I can play for very long, especially without any clue what’s going on, or without the ability to save anything thanks to a dead battery.
With that said, enjoy the heck out of Bound High! You’ll know when the time is right to dust off Vfishing for that last hoorah! 🙂

Don´t you believe that we will see Dragon Hopper some time? 😉

You’re right! 🙂
I can play both Bound High and Virtual Fishing and have faith that I still have Dragon Hopper in store for me, and who knows what other currently unreleased game from the initial Virtual Boy Era.

Hah, I didn’t play it yet for pretty much the same reasons. There are other VB games I didn’t play but I always kind of not touched Bound High because it seems to be the last great game left.
Today, I discovered the robot in Bound High! is not named Chalvo. It’s actually named Charubo!
It’s a good feeling knowing its in the post!
As soon as I got my flashboy the first game that went on it was bound high and It pretty much stayed there until I got my repo cart.
It’s one of the best and most original game on the VB in my eyes.
