One game you wish appeared on the Virtual Boy?

For me, it’s not a specific game, but more like a genre that would be been neat. RPG. Surely you wouldn’t be able to game for long sessions, but correct me if I’m wrong, there are no RPGs on the system. Jack Bros doesn’t really count.

I second that, I’ve always wanted to play an RPG on the VB, it’s one of my favourite game genres! It’d be awesome to play a Final Fantasy, or a Pokemon game, or a Legend of Zelda type of game on the VB! At least in my head, I can imagine the 3D being used really well (i.e. having towns pop out giving building’s more “height and depth”, having villains that pop out like in Jack Bros (but better 😉 ) or, for pokemon or final fantasy like games, attacks that really express the 3D capacities)

I dont think long play sessions would be a huge issue, at least in my opinion; Ive played the VB for hours with no issue before, but maybe that’s just me 🙂

Star Fox, even just a straight port of the original would be fine. I’d love to see the Virtual Boy run that game and show people how it’s actually more powerful than the SNES, which had to use a graphics accelerator to render polygons, which the VB can do by itself.

It’s stunning how much color can twist one’s perception of graphics and computing power. (coughSegaGenesiscough)

Definitely Zelda! Ohhh would that have made one hell of a great experience! I love A Link Between Worlds on the 3DS and that is a 2D style Zelda in 3D and it adds to the experience there. Ahhh well, too bad it didn’t happen 😉
