Figured it would be nice to see everyone’s systems and game/accessory collections. I’m quite curious to see how many of the VBs on these forums are in good condition, and how many Blockbuster, retail display, japanese, etc kits there are among us.

Regrettably I sold the VB in my avatar many years ago after I first joined. I think I sold it to then fund the purchase of a new phat DS. Bad move.

I’ve just gotten back into the VB scene after missing it so much. I just purchased a Japanese console in mint condition, boxed. Can’t wait to share with everyone. I also bought a secondary head unit only because I thought I was going to be buying a VB set that had a defective head unit (I got out of that deal). I think I’ll be taking the spare apart and using it as parts for my Japanese model. Maybe have the ribbon cables soldered for when the Japanese model’s go bad.

So I’ll be posting my pictures soon. I have quite a few games already, which I’ll show when I get the console pics up.

But everyone else can start ahead of me. Let’s see those VBs!

My VB collection

I recently added this sweet $10 off Virtual Boy Coupon to my collection.

Whenever I acquire an item, I like to compare it to another, but being that I don’t own a second VB coupon, I compared it to the one seen here…

https://www.planetvb.com/modules/advertising/?m32

…and noticed that my coupon is Black compared to the Red one seen in the link above. So I guess these coupons came in Red and Black, which is something I was totally unaware of up until I made the comparison.

Pretty cool though!

Big thanks to PVB member ryucheese for giving me the opportunity to purchase the coupon! 😎👍

Here is a pic of MOST of my VB collection. Not pictured is the link cable, headphones, 4 Virtual Boys, and a cart programmer on the way.

Here’s a book of sweepstakes entry forms I purchased a few months ago (just remembered I had it, no joke!). There’s 47 of them in total.

Check out the colorful spine that a stack of these creates. I think it’s pretty cool!

Geez, with that many you’re sure to win!!

Very cool to see a full stack of them. I do like that color effect it creates

I wonder if it can be safely concluded that there were 50 originally, in which case only 3 of them had been taken by customers. :-/

Well… I just finished filling out all the entry forms in my collection, including the two that weren’t attached to the book, along with the form from my Blockbuster’s Virtual Boy brochure for a grand round total of 50 entry forms.

I’m hoping to win one of the 1st place prizes but will happily settle for the VB hat from the 2nd place prizes.

Wish me luck… I’m off to mail these out now!

It’s hard to see in the picture, but I can definitely tell at least one form was taken, judging by the adhesive they used to bond these together, it’s present on the first form where another one should’ve been attached. So I’ll say a full book either included 48 forms or 50, but can’t say for sure.

Here is a more updated view of my collection. You can always view my profile for more info or ask any questions.
I sold all my homebrews except insecticide and the re-programmable carts.

Not sure how I forgot to post this but back in late August I managed to knock off the entire set finishing up with the box+game for Waterworld (had a manual already.) Ultimately I’m 3 boxes (Nester, 3D-T, Jack) and 1 manual(Jack) short, but have all 14 games and also a first run Hyper Fighting, Bound High, and V-Tetris in that picture too. Not shown a 2nd VB I fixed myself, lacks a stand but otherwise complete.

This was done all over 7mo of this year, and between smart buys and repairs/resales within it I got all that there for $780.

I guess that could be Space Invaders or Hyper Fighting, since those games are diagonal to each other.

My VB collection sorta exploded all over the house when I ran out of room in the little display case. So here’s just the general gaming situation.

Haha the dab rig on the table is the best part. Now there’s the sign of someone I could hang out with!

Ha! From what I remember you’re not too far away, come over and have a dab =P

If you like that there’s another easter egg in that same picture. Zoom in, top right, next to the Bowser amiibo. Might be a Power-up shroom themed something 😉

My collection has grown since the last time I posted here. I think I’m most proud of the Hudson soft virtual boy pin and the virtual boy headphones which I have on the way.

Nice collection! What´s the story behind that VB Wario amiibo? 🙂

It’s one of my custom amiibo. I wanted to make a custom of him for a while but his smash Bros amiibo sucked lol. They eventually came out with another version for the super Mario line of amiibo and it was perfect.

Ah, I see. Very cool! Fun project.

Added a black VB keychain and this 3-D sweepstakes display to my collection!

I have not been following the market very closely lately, and I am wondering if anybody has ever managed to add this gray virtual boy shirt to their collection:

Virtual T-Shirt

I know Mawa, at least at one point, had the matching gray cap that goes along with it, but I don’t know if he ever got the shirt:

Virtual Boy Cap (Gray)
