Saw this on my Youtube recommended videos by TopSpot123 and thought it was a really neat idea for an alternative way to store Nintendo’s handheld games and other loose carts for other systems. Even Virtual Boy games get mentioned at 13:50.
I want to try this even though it kind of looks like a lot of work.
Oh wow I love that! I just use acrylic nail polish stands for my loose games. I haven’t figured out how I wanna display my VB games yet. Once I get them all I’ll work on boxes for them.

That is a neat idea! I don’t think I have the patience to do that with all my games though..
I was planning on building sort of like a picture frame with little “shelves” built in, so I can line them all up in the frame and hang the whole thing on the wall. I was thinking without a glass front so I could just pull a game out if I wanted to play it.

If you don’t feel like building anything from scratch, look into shot glass displays. They are usually perfect for most smaller games for handhelds.
Made a test version. Couldn’t really find any GB box scans so I went to CoverProject and fit scans made for DS cases onto a GB box template. It’s made of standard printer paper so the box is flimsy, but the cartridge and case fit nicely into it. Although I want to fix some things like how the spines look, I like how it turned out. Not sure if I’d want to make roughly 70 of these boxes for my games though as that’d be a lot of time and printer ink.

I like building things though 🙂
Thanks for the idea though, I’ll look into it anyway, nice to have options.
Bought some card stock paper and printed color versions. Since I didn’t have a laminate machine thingy I used a bit of packaging tape as a substitute. Got 8 done so far and they turned out nicely 🙂

Finished making the rest of the boxes. Posted a video of them on my twitter
Got my handheld games shelf all organized now. Just need to finish making boxes for a few VB games and find a place to stow the Gane Gear games. pic.twitter.com/EZhmaF1rE7

Was a fun little project to do and I like it a little more than how I was storing my handhelds carts earlier; in a binder.
