The only thing different I can see with pics 2 and 3 is the boxed power tap.
Otherwise, that box looks different than the normal Japanese Virtual Boy box. Is it one of those not for resale ones? I heard those had the black & white pixelated picture on the front.
mosaic box auction. that is pretty cool.
i knew it was only a matter of time before these popped up on ebay.

It could be worse, if those Mario Tennis boxes were actually made, you know they’d be up there pretty quickly with a 99.99$ ***RARE*** tag line lol.
Guy claims these obscure video game items are “made by Micro Games of America, the same makers of Virtual Boy and that whole Wario thing.”
I have NEVER heard of Micro Games of America being involved with the Virtual Boy. Is this just assumption because they are red and black?
Also, hello again, PVB. It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. 😎
As much as that is a silly listing, I think those are pretty darn cool. *blush* They’d probably make for a good Halloween costume or cosplay prop or something: ST:TNG Geordi or maybe X-Men Cyclops? They look to be child-sized.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow… I’m not exactly sure of what all was going on in the mind of that seller, but it seems that he was well aware of the game titled “WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames!” released for the Game Boy Advance, and since that game has “Microgames” in the title, he must have assumed that Micro Games of America had a part in that game, but the Wikipedia article on the game seems to indicate that Micro Games of America had no part in the making of that game either. I also think you are right about the red and black thing, when the seller made the determination that Micro Games of America had a part in the making of the Virtual Boy. Thus, it strongly seems that the seller simply saw the name “Micro Games” and associated it with “WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames!” and then concluded, based on the fact that the name “micro games” appeared in both, that Micro Games of America actually made “the whole Wario thing,” and then seeing the red and black caused the seller to make a very similarly strange determination that Micro Games of America must have made the whole Virtual Boy thing, too.
eBay auction #330950556374
Jack Bros. USA version right now >$100. But no bids. So I take it that it’s not worth that much. But I guess I’m lucky that I have the Japanese version, which goes for about $60 on eBay…

Loose carts of the USA version of Jack Bros. have sold on Ebay for $200.00, so it is very likely that this cart will sell very soon, if not this time around. My guess is that at least one of the current 8 watchers plans to throw a bid on it during the last remaining seconds of the auction.
Virtual Boy with a blockbuster case that has a custom sticker on it that some guy made in 1995.
EDIT: Saddest quote about the Virtual Boy ever in this auction; “Sadly, due to poor engineering on Nintendo part, it appears that all Virtual Boys are dying.” (what a way to describe the ribbon cable problem!)
They’re meeeeltiiing!
He does kinda make it sound like it’s impossible to fix
The guy selling the Jack Bros. relisted this and decreased the price by $5.

That 5 bucks must have made all the difference, for it appears that somebody clicked the Buy-It-Now button at the $200.00 price.
When it comes to Ebay, timing is certainly everything. Last week, nobody even placed a bid on the $130.00 price, and just a week later, someone buys it for $70.00 more without even trying to win a bidding war. One just never knows who will be on the market and when.
This isn’t an auction..but Kirbybirby has some vboy glasses for sale on his sales thread over at nintendo age.
