In this thread we all want to post cool, spectacular, noteworthy, jaw-dropping […] Virtual Boy auctions on ebay, Yahoo or any other site…
At first here are two auctions on Yahoo Japan (Always cooool stuff on there!) for the japanese Nintendo Store Display:

KR155E
I wish I could! I’m far too out of money right now, though. 🙁 Paying off the credit card’s gonna hurt for a loooong while. I blame Jack Bros., haha.
Those rare ones going for a lot are Brandon’s. he had to sell off his collection. There’s a thread about it. Look in the recently updated feed.
here we go again :

I don’t see a problem with this at all. He described them as being reproductions and started the price low. Everyone has the right to sell what they own, and finally someone is selling these games in a honest way.
These are the auctions i don’t like:

I’m getting sick of these guys, and the the way that this subject of selling Reproductions is evolving in Ebay. I have sent an mp to the seller, who is obviously a professional and reported it to Ebay who will probably ignore it.
I was considering to beggin to spend some time in development for VB in some months as I have recelenty finished increased my programming skills, knowing is a long and hard path but seeing these people taking profit from others people work and the VB community is a bit frustrating.
I’ve also reported it and sent him a “question”
This is not cool and a slap in the face for everyone involved.
What a shame. The seller on the most recent auction doesn’t say a single thing about it being a translated repro. Hard to tell if he/she is trying to mislead or simply doesn’t know the difference. Seems difficult to imagine this would have already found its way into the hands of a secondary buyer, but I guess it’s possible… Either way, a troubling sight. I’m just glad the large majority have stayed off the interweb/speculator market.
very nice version off Warioland japan for a good price $99,90:

“Unclear” responses about the Gundam on Ebay
Message 1
“Hello,
I was not intentionally “scamming” people. If I were, I’m sure I’d have much lower feedback. I bought this game from eBay for my own personal use for much more than $80 and played it and now I am selling it again. I did not even know it was a reproduction until very recently (a few hours ago). The last message said that it was a limited release from planetvb though, are you saying they are still selling them for $80?
Thanks”

“I have now added that it was an english repro. It isn’t sold anymore, so it’s still rare enough to be sold at this price. Everything is something made by someone”
At least, seller has clarified that it is a Reproduction
I agree that auction is completely retarded. As for it not being for sale any more i just bought on on tusker’s site 20 min ago. $499 is ridiculous.
As for any retards on eBay that pay that much, although i feel bad for them, they are f’n retards with too much money on their hands and almost deserve to be spanked.
Anytime I pay more than retail for a game i send a few minutes and research it to make sure i’m not overpaying. Anytime i see a reproduction i search it out and find the source. that search brought me to this site in 2 min where i found uncle tusker’s site where it could be bought.
IMHO: if anyone is too lazy or too stupid to use Google before making an outlandish purchase its at least 1/2 their fault.
Bidders Beware: There is currently a “sealed” copy of Waterworld on Ebay:
After inspecting the photos, I conclude that this a re-sealed copy of the game, so it does not have the original manufacturer’s shrink wrap. All original sealed games have a horizontal seam in the shrink wrap that runs along the middle of the back of the box, and as best as I can tell, this shrink wrap is missing that seam.
Thus, if you plan to bid on it, consider it a likely complete-in-box copy but not a sealed copy of the game.
Of course, if you’re truly interested in the item, contact the seller and ask him if there is a horizontal seam in the shrink wrap along the middle of the back of the box to be sure.

Chalvo 55 for Gameboy! The sequel to Bound High, I waited till after I bought this rare game to post about it.
It’s officially going to be in my collection.
Oh, if you wondering I had it in a saved search, and within seconds of it appearing I bought it.
I had this on saved search for the last 8 months, and every single one that popped up sold in mere seconds.

I would absolutely agree – I snagged a cart only copy shipped for under ten quid the other day- you gotta be quick! I’ve also had alerts on for months…

Yahoo Auctions Japan is a great place to find an abundance of copies of Chalvo 55 at great prices. Just search for “チャルボ55” and you find:
There is currently a brand new copy on there as a “Buy-It-Now” for 890 Yen = 9.16 US Dollars = 5.70 British Pounds = 6.75 Euros = 9.72 Australian Dollars.
Amazon Japan also has 4 new copies of the game, each at great prices, but only one of them ships to foreign countries:
You don’t even need to use a proxy service with Amazon Japan.

Thanks for making me feel stupid for spending nearly $30 on cart only. :/

Just trying to help out future prospective buyers. 🙂
But hey, if you think $30.00 is a fair price to pay for cart only, then there is no loss there.
Actually the only international one is $37 price+shipped to USA but it is in box.
So yea I may have over spent by $10 or so.
