Interesting to say that about something you yourself made. Why not say something more along the lines of “I’m the only one making this repro cart”. The way he says it makes it sound like it’s a well known VB collectors item.

because saying anything else would not be much of a selling point to the collectors this seller hopes to dupe into a quick sale.

Hilarious. Just last week Bound High was being “exploited” for a few hundred bucks, apparently it’s quadrupled in value since then.

He has been trying to sell his virtual boy stuff on the bay for at least 7-8 years now….if his items don’t sell then he just jacks the price up even higher…it’s like he doesn’t want to sell enything, but instead just wants to display his collection on ebay… DON’T BUY ANYTHING from this seller. You will NEVER get a good deal from him.

I actually really want one of those. Sadly I could never spend the money on something like that, given the crazy prices they go for. It’s one of them unicorn consoles. Such a neat little console that intrigues the shit out of me though =P

I myself have thought the same thing about this seller. Another thing I’ve thought, though, is that maybe people keep contacting him and telling him directly that his prices are ridiculously high, and then, in a rage, he thinks to himself: “Oh yeah? Well I’ll show you!” And that’s why the non-selling items’ prices keep rising. Otherwise, yeah, he’s just afraid that the items might accidentally sell at some point, and he’ll lose his eBay collection display.
