So, I recently won this action about a week ago…
https://m.ebay.com/itm/172857475960
…and I’m quite excited over it!
Before I go and make a thread about it, I just wanted to know…
If anyone can see why I would be excited over an auction for two untested Virtual Boy controllers?

Yeah, the font is thicker on the made in China one. I’ve seen it before, but can’t remember what it means..
Didn’t know there was some type of variation? Interested to hear more about that pickup
one of the controllers is a “preproduction”. Here’s a link to the thread…
What the heck is this thing?
That looks like something they’d give attendees to a trade show of some sort so they could see the VB footage in 3D. It’s the early Virtual Boy logo that leans me in that direction.
These are definitely trade show anaglyph glasses. The question is, what were they viewing?BTW: Says $19 shipping now.
Here’s an interesting one. Reprogrammable Bound High cart.
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/332403603473

Check this out. Great info on some unrelesed virtual boy games.

If this is authentic, this is a really exciting find, Robert! Not only it’s the first known mention of North American releases of these games, but also even a press release on one of those. Also, “War Simulation”? Could that be Star Seed?
But, ugh, the auction has been deleted before I could save the images and description. It also had images of a Space Squash press release and of the cover. The description mentioned this being from CES 1995. I could only find a tiny thumbnail of the cover through Google image search.
Did anyone save all that?
Also, I am wondering what you guys think about the item. The cover looked pretty authentic to me, the spelling in the press release is horrible, though. 🙂 This article seems to back its authenticity: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/articles/?s013096001

I am entirely convinced that this is fully authentic. I also conclude that “War Simulation” was a working title for “Star Seed.” The way that the English appears shows strong evidence as having come from someone fluent in Japanese but not so fluent in English. I can even guess what some of the original Japanese words would have been in the write-up for Proteus Zone before someone tried to translate it into English, as a result of having looked at so many Japanese texts so far.
In any case, I am the one who bought the auction, so as soon as everything arrives to me, I will try to make and post high quality scans of everything. I’m also going to try to create what I believe to be a “cleaner” English translation of what was probably the original Japanese text in the write-up for Proteus Zone.
I have yet to receive confirmation that the item has shipped, though, so I hope no troubles arise there.
Well of all the people to get it I’m glad it’s you Ben. Now I know it won’t be lost into someones cupboard, but scanned and uploaded onto the site for everyone to see. Great to hear!
This Promotional Keychain that was apparently a gift to employees just went up…
