To the best of my knowledge, this proto contains a final or near-final build of the game on it.
EDIT: The words “FINAL ROM” written on the chips really supports that theory as well :p

Leave it to me to not to notice that at all. 😀
Also, I did find this if anyone wants a Japanese display:
I think that’s the third time that proto has been posted to this thread? It’s final, Buyatari from assemblergames.com owns it, and he doesn’t have any plans to lower the price anytime soon.
That Japanese display seems to be a tad lower then regular ebay prices, but still too much. It’s too bad they’re hard to find, as they’re a great stand. But the ebayers know it’s hard to find, hence the prices.

Sorry for the repeats on the proto! I looked around a bit in the thread and didn’t see it. Too bad he’s stubborn on the price, you could store the eproms somewhere and basically use it as a flash cart.
As for the stand, what’s regular price for eBay on those? It’s too rich for my blood regardless but I just thought I’d leave it here in case someone REALLY needed one for their collection.
No worries, it happens.
Actually I see now that it is on sale actually. The normal price they have listed is the one I’ve seen around, so, I guess 15% above what it’s at now :p
Congrats to whomever pushed the Buy-It-Now button for this one:
Holy crap, that is exactly what I needed to finally have a US display.
Oh well, just wasn’t in the cards I suppose.
I know I even contacted buyer right after it ended that moment and offered more but he said no :/
really tried to swipe it~

Just blatantly coming in here and admitting to trying to backdoor a deal (something that basically everyone views as shady practice and frowns on) might not be the most well-advised thing to do.
Just paying the seller a more fair price since he didn’t know value. Sharking from another shark.

The person who bought it wasn’t a shark – he legitimately paid the asking price. If you had found it first, I doubt you would have considered yourself a shark, and I really doubt you would have been ok with someone else doing what you did. Just sayin’.
A rather nice-looking reproduction copy of Virtual Bowling:
Be sure to understand that it is a reproduction copy, made from scans taken from this site.
The V Bowling repro? I’d think anything over $100 is too much for a repro, but maybe that’s just me.
A 1996 Press Kit, including a press release about Bound High and Dragon Hopper.
