Hi,

not long ago I bought myself the awesome SNES visual compendium aswell as the Super Famicom Boxart collection.
The books are from Bitmap Books. You can check them out here:
https://www.bitmapbooks.co.uk/collections/all
Their books are really great and they sell very good.
One of their next project is The Art of Point + Click Adventure Games. Their books are very sccessful and I doubt they will stop with that (which is good)

But when it comes to Virtual Boy, I think we really should take matters in our own hand.
This page here contains material many people from this community have contributed. This community has the most Information about the system and everything.

Since the Virtual Boy has only a few games compared to the SNES, I think we could do a Visual Compendium and Boxart collection in just one nice book.

This is quite some work but as a community effort it is doable. Therefore I would like to open this as a project.
If we would do such a thing we need to discuss a lot of things first. What do you guys think about?

@Benjamin Stevens, you contributed a lot over the last years and you made Hyper Fighting possible. First I think that Hyper Fighting would need to appear also in this book and second I would like to know your opinion about the idea.

Again, this is an effort I would support! But again, my support would probably just be financial. If only the VB could run NASTRAN decks… then I would have something meaningful I could contribute to the community! 🙂

I also own the SNES volumes and would love a VB visual compendium!

It’s SO funny you mention this. I kind of wanted to do something similar for a while regarding the VB. I would love a book with great pictures and nice write-ups for the games, accessories, homebrew scene etc.

As a writer, I’d be more than happy to contribute where/how I can. I can also get pictures of things as needed (provided I own it).

You see I knew it. This community has basically everything we need to make a proper Compendium.
