Hi,
Posting a separate thread specifically about my VB cart programmer. As I mentioned in another thread this can dump the ram/rom space of any VB game. Also allows writing to ram/rom of my custom 16Mbit carts. I’m adding support for my larger 256Mbit cart as well.
I’ll be building a few of these programmers in the next month or so and I’m wondering if anyone has any interest in them. Some free ones will be going to developers for games that need the larger 256Mbit cart. This is really meant as a developer tool but putting it out there for anyone. PM me if interested.
You can see more info here: http://www.mellottsvrpage.com/index.php/virtual-boy-cartridge-programmer/
Thanks,
Kevin

Start of a programmer enclosure v0. Still lots of work to do. Hopefully doesn’t end up being too expensive. The idea is to just look similar to the VB, not be an exact replica. Black block on the back is the LCD. Cart will plug in from the front like the VB does.
The model is colored but the enclosure will need to be painted to look like this. 3D prints I use only come in black.

Holy shit! This is the best thing ever!!! :O
I love it. Can’t wait to see it printed.
Whaaaat. I should have known you’d go above and beyond with these. Extremely cool stuff. Where does the cable plug in? Also, have any devs contacted you about the larger carts? Just wondering if there are any projects in the works involving these carts with the larger workspace 😀

Yes there are larger games in the works. Can’t say more than that.
This is so fantastic. I think I speak for most when I say I truly appreciate how much you are doing for this community and for the Virtual Boy’s future.
Can’t wait to see/read about other projects you have in mind, Kevin!
First test prints of the enclosure. Surface finish won’t be as nice as past projects but it will do for a development tool. There will be some adjustments to fix print issues before the next run.
