This is a pointless thing to do, but my off centered mind can’t shift the thought, here goes:
Set up you 3DS on a tripod support (needs to be kept still and correct distance) sit it right up against the VB with each camera looking at each VB array, would the image on the 3DS screen come out with depth?
A very pointless exercise, but if it works you could play VB games looking at the 3DS screen and not with face in the visor, yes I’m really struggling to see why anyone would do such a thing, but I think I’m gonna have to give it a go in 6.6 days time.

You forgot the most important ingredient… CHEMICAL X.
Please excuse me while I embark on a 3-day long Powerpuff Girls binge.

No no no no no! Chemical X only comes after sugar, spice, and everything nice.
Actually, this does work. I set the IPD to the innermost position, and the image appears pretty stable and in 3D! (a bit blurry, sure, but definitely playable). My phone camera that captured the set up sucks though, sorry.
So I guess you lose Vaughanabe13 ๐
BTW, I love my new 3DS!! ๐

HAH! That’s awesome! Can’t wait to get mine tonight!
BTW, how is that Aqua Blue looking in your hands?
Aww… come on Dan, you should have at least posted “SPOILER ALERT”. You ruined HT’s suspense and stole his thunder ๐ . That’s cool that it works though… not too surprising. Is that a new and improved Hunter that I see in the screenshot (hoping) ๐ .
I’m still on the fence about picking up a 3DS. I’ll have to drop by Gamestop tomorrow and try it out and see if there’s any games that I “must have”.

The Aqua Blue is awesome, it has a metallic lacquer look with different shades on different parts of it.

It is ๐ I got rid of the puzzling crash/reset bugs (by making a win32 c++ port of the game and using the excellent Visual Studio 2010 Express debugger), and am now back working on it again.

I got Pilotwings Resort with mine. It’s an OK game with really good 3D depth, but it gets a little repetitive if you already played the airplane game in Wii Sports Resort to death ๐
I also have the Aqua Blue and i think this a great coler.
I have pilot wings / splinter cell / streetfighter / Ghost recon shadow wars.
iff you like turn based stratagie games them buy ghost recon its a verry fun game ( i cant stop playing ).

Aww… that’s what I was afraid of when I saw it was called Pilotwings “Resort” ๐ .

Yeah someone else had a go too, better pics than mine, nice job Dan, i do have a few on the 3DS camera but i only spent about 3 mins, got an image, thought yeah maybe with some fiddling it could be better but strangely i had something else to do.
I would have posted earlier but i couldn’t log into the site on explorer on my laptop and couldn’t spend the 10mins to download opera, again, I had something else to occupy myself with.
But it works……………………………. to a degree.
Loving the 3DS, yeah PWings could have done with some more locations, but it is what it is, and I know i will waste lots of time trying to get each mission a perfect score. Picked up Ridgeracer too, again nothing surprising, its ridgeracer, but fun & with 3D.
Most fun? prob with face raiders using my cats face pulling stupid expressions flying round the room, daft Nintendo fun.

Good times, but don’t forget to put your AR cards on your sleeping cat. ๐
Lovin my 3DS so far too, however I’m not too impressed with any of the launch titles so I think I’ll be waiting to purchase games until something more enticing comes along.
I’m having a blast with the “AR Games” for now. Here’s a couple of good pics I got on the system at work today.
You’ll need to cross your eyes to see these.

Here are some pics that are more on topic. There are definitely better ways to capture a Virtual Boy screenshot, but the 3DS can do it.
These are in the cross-eyed view.
