i wish i could re-edit my last thread…

Well i made a Mock-up of what i think Virtual Boy 2 should look like
it is to scale…. but i forgot how large a Virtual Boy cartridge was…

———

Virtual Boy 2 is sleeker, lighter, and less fragile. It is also easier to take somewhere. It features Gamecube like graphics, and it can connect to the wii. With the launch titles Vitual Boy two will be packadged with Virtual Boy collection 1 (Vitual Boy Wario Land, Mario Tennis, Space Squash, 3D Tetris, Galactic Pinball, Red Alarm, SD Gundum, TeleroBoxer, and Water World), Virtual Boy Collection 2 will also be released. Virtual Boy will feater online Wi-Fi support, and a slightly modified controller (avaible in 5 colors).

certain DS, and Gamecube games will have a port on the Virtual Boy 2.

and some wii games will interact with the Virtual Boy.

Tell me if this is a good idea.

Uh… that’d be really dumb of them to design something remotely resembling the VB. Especially with the stand again… if they were to do something like it, I could see something designed more like the Sony Glasstron: http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Glasstron-Personal-LCD-Monitor-PLM-A35_W0QQitemZ190093952693QQcategoryZ39828QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem . My personal opinion is that they shouldn’t bother making another system, but instead make it as an add on to the Wii. I don’t believe it’d be very hard to make true 3D out of what they have now, since you can do true 3D on PC DirectX and OpenGL with just driver support, and the even N64 emulators are in true 3D.

I do see there being a problem with a wireless headset and a wiimote that is used for action though… there’d be so many people swinging their arms and breaking stuff/hitting people and walking into stuff. For that reason, shutter glasses would be good, but the low quality of the image, and not being able to support LCD and Plasma would probably be a huge marketing problem.

With the wii Wi-Fi, i meant certain parts of the game would be played on the wii, and other parts would be played on the Virtual Boy 2. Also im trying to make it keep a classic look. also im not going with shutter glasses because most people are now moving to plasma/lcd tvs.

also there would be an attachment that would make the stand optional… anyway it would make it like a visor.

Y’know, in my personal opinion (and it’s probably a dumb personal opinion) Nintendo should just leave the Virtual Boy alone. Instead, they should re-release it at budget prices exactly as it was back in ’95. In fact, I think they should re-release all of their classic systems as a “Nintendo Classics Series” (or some other ridiculous cruddy name) at low prices. Of course, they would probably lose so much money on that that it wouldn’t be worth it to them, but it’s just a thought.

I agree with DogP, If they did re-design the VB it should look nothing like the original. It should be wireless (by wireless, I mean a wireless VB controller, no arm swinging movements required) and much lighter and compact than the original VB. (Oh yeah, apparently DogP doesn’t like white VBs, can’t say I like ’em much either 😉 : http://www.vr32.de/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2987&forum=1 )

its not white… its sliver like the original DS.

Uh…still, silver (I hope you meant silver, not sliver) and red. No. Ugly. Sorry. 😀

i meant silver.. also i think it could be released in various colors, so it could be black and red (almost like the original. Also i have noticed something very odd, on the virtual boy ear-phones box they had what looked like a picture of a black virtual boy. Also i understand if some people think its ugly xD

well.. I think it looks awesome! Its cool that you let your imagination go wild and created something so nice!

I would pick one up if it were ever to see a release!

@ Fwirt:

That would be cool if Nintendo did like an Atari Flashback thing with, you know Nintendo stuff. Especially with the VB.

maybe i should give nintendo that suggestion….. you never know.. they might do it.. and it would be even cooler if they gave some of the games color mode (Wario Land, Mario Clash, Galactic pinball, Tetris, TeleroBoxer)…. that would make more people want to buy it… also it is less expensive to do that now, and they can now make it so that one headset would have a collection of games (like the PLug-n-play games).

Edit: I just sent them a well written suggestion.
