What about the controller part? Is the plastic holder for it missing or why is it not “mounted to the base of the display like it should be”?

Yeah, the plastic holder for it is missing. My guess is some bastard children were abusing the thing when it was being displayed in a store. If only could get my hands on them!

Or maybe Ferry ripped it out in a fit of rage during an intense game of Galactic Pinball (the display did belong to him before I got it)
