How much would you pay for the VB’s unreleased stand :question:

I don’t know, at least that one doesn’t look like it could make the VB chase you across a wasteland so it could take your eyes…

A few hundred US? You’ve gotta be joking. Prototype or not for me it’d be $50. That almost looks like something you could make yourself out of some PVC and a broken VB stand.

I might make some at the end of the year….IMPORTANT!! this is a reproduction of the stand and not a prototype of the real thing. 🙂

I’d probably pay a few hundred for a real prototype, just because what it is… but I don’t think the design is very good to actual use, so I probably wouldn’t buy a reproduction.

Yeah, same here. It looks pretty useless. I mean, it’s basically the normal stand, except you can also lower it. But when would you want to play with the head unit just inches above the table? o_O

Well actual I was going to make the hole stand go foward and back to it it be more adjustable ill look at all things that the first VB stand had wrong with it..(not saying myself that is was bad..)lots of people say that the VB’s stand needs to be more adjustable so im goin do just that. 😎

That one doesn’t look to have any sort of tilt to it, which would make it really tough to use… unless it tilts at the base.

I’m not really sure how you’d improve on the current stand design, except to keep the center piece from breaking. I never have problems with the height being wrong (I can adjust my chair height if I need to)… other than that, it has tilt, which IMO is the most important (depending on the position, sometimes it feels more comfortable to look down into it a little bit, other times it’s nice to look straight in).

I think that if the VB was released with the adjustable stand first it would get even more criticism than with the current stand, because the adjustable stand is just ugly whereas the current stand is (in my opinion) an aesthetic work of art. People tend to judge things based on outside appearance; that’s why the VB wasn’t exactly a huge success.
