Virtual Tap – Ground Up Redesign with HDMI Support

Im looking to modernise the Virtual Tap.

Right now the Furrtek version is unavailable to purchase and the only other one i’ve seen is on eBay for Rondo’s Products which are really expensive.

I’ve tried working with ChatGPT and Grok and they are equally as useless. Dont listen to anyone that says AI is intelligent, its not.

It has a lot of issues doing simple things like providing a list of comparable anything and when you dig deeper, it just finds anything that matches your criteria without any real sense of due diligence such as:

– product being end of life
– product not having the features you want or omitting details as part of the research criteria – which requires you to constantly proof check the results
– it keeps missing things
– it keeps repeating things you’ve told it not to do
– it is incapable of following instructions to the letter

I ended up finding a chip that seemed to match my criteria, and then it omitted to tell me that the chip that was selected doesnt have native HDMI (TMDS) support. This would eliminate the need for using an HDMI transmitter.

Im getting extremely frustrated with it and would prefer to work with like minded folks who want to modernise hardware to produce something special.
