Hello everyone, I am new here and I’m sure many of you will laugh at me for coming here and expecting to find this game. I understand I don’t have a reputation here but I’ve been on the hunt for Hyper Fighter for quite some time now and my hunt has lead me here. I am a huge Virtual Boy fan and an even bigger Street Fighter fan. I can’t afford to swing the $1000+ that the ones on ebay are going for. I am a true collector and am not looking to profit, if someone here has one for a reasonable price or can point me in the right direction, I can promise you this will not end up on ebay. It will be a crowned jewel in my collection. So if you can help me or know someone who can please message me and let’s talk.

$1,000 is the price the community of your peers has set for this game. They are willing to bid that much then I suspect it will continue to sell for around that price. The less they go up for sale the more that price should rise, until perhaps it reaches a point that a listing no longer gets any publicly. Now that we are aware of what others are willing to pay, I don’t think you’ll find one publicly available for much less.

If you have eBay searches running – make sure you search for ‘Hyper Fighting Virtual Boy’ and not Hyper Fighter, which isn’t the title.

The good news is that the demo is at least publicly available, so everyone can see, test and feel the successes of this incredible game.

I thought the demo version only works on the Flash Boy, which isn’t that commonly owned it seems.

I do notice that a lot though, people get the name wrong all the time. It’s not Hyper Fighter, it’s not Street Fighter II (the game yes, packaging and title screen no), it’s just Hyper Fighting.

I always type the name wrong, haha. I even double check all the time and just always revert back to using “Fighter” instead of “Fighting”. Anyway, I knew it was a long shot, but every now and then you can get lucky with someone who loves spreading the joys of gaming just as much as they enjoy playing. Either way I’m happy to join this community as I’m sure I will be able to find lots of new knowledge within the forums.

At one time I was trying to find copies and get them to collectors that would enjoy them, but all sources I know of have dried up. You’ll have to get it from collectors at this point…and that will be pretty tough. I wish you the best of luck (not being sarcastic 🙂 )

You sir are a good man.

I also wish you luck, it might be a hard adventure since most people who own them bought them with no intent to ever sell. The experience is too cool for me to personally ever part with.

I once had the chance to acquire one and would have loved one for the collection, but seeing as I am not too much of a SF fan, I let it be for the people who really wanted it.
Should have gone for it knowing that a few people just bought it to make money….
