Or something along those lines. I have a mockup image if some finished graphics and music, but I’d like to get some feedback from the VB Community.

Looks Bloody Awesome,by the way, what kind of engine you’re using to make the game Nin?

If you need someone to compose music for this game, I’d love to offer my services. I just need to know what file format you would need (musically; I’m not a programmer. I could compose the music and send it in something like MIDI), how many tracks I’m limited to, etc.

I kept thinking the title character looked familiar, then I realized it’s because he resembles Mr. Onion, which was a game on the Chinese Videogame console Sport Vii.

But onto a different subject, I am beyond excited to all the progress that you have been making! This is destined to be a great game on our beloved Virtual Boy.

Still looks great,by the way, what engine are you using for your game?

Nice, that’s looking great! Looks like you’re making good progress!

You’re quite good at pixel art, and it really shows in this game. Really looking forward to it. 🙂

Hello…! This game is still in development, but I haven’t been posting updates here as to not confuse people and mislead them about this project, something I should have cleared up a while back.

This is not a homebrew. This is an indie game, which is not really something that I suppose belongs here. If you guys are interested in keeping up with progress on this, go check “http://reddit.com/r/yanworld”.

Oh, so this is not a game for the Virtual Boy, but a PC game that’s made to look like a Virtual Boy game? Indeed, that was not clear at all, you made it sound like this game was a Virtual Boy homebrew. Even that last post left room for speculations and I was wondering until I saw the mention of a Z button in one screenshot. 😀

It’s looking better and better, though. I like the screen transition!

I was always wondering if this was a virtualboy game because the size of the screenshots didn’t fit and there didn’t seem to be a transparent color.

This isn’t going to be a Virtual Boy game? Man, holy disappointing plot twist Batman, got me all excited there for a minute.

same^^ Damn shame! Who would have thought with a title of “making a VB game”. Well I guess all in all it still looks good, just would have loved to play this on my VB is all…

It would be cool if you managed to get the game running on a real Virtual Boy 😀 looks promising.

So i’ve been looking into an actual virtual boy port, considering new developments in VB Homebrews this past year. Would anyone be up for that? I dunno if i would be able to do it completely by myself, so i might look for a team in the future to help with an official port.

Nin, that’s great news, I hope you can pull this off! I’d love to do the port but I am too busy with other projects at the moment I am afraid. In case you end up using the VUEngine, I’ll try my best to answer your questions, though!
